Green onions are started here end of December. I planted some in January and I think my man crushed them on accident surprising me with solar lights out there. I didnāt have the heart to tell him. Last yearās were so good!
Canāt grow chives to save my life. I think they need sandy soil and I have no clue what kind of sand I need or how to make the right mix for them.
How about a bacon tree?
Thanks! Mostly old skool this time. Been wanting to grow more skunk since last year. Super excited to compare the UFS 18 with what they are selling as Skunk #1. Not only that but comparing the trendy blue gelato with the oldies but goodies is gonna be interesting. It was so hard to decide.
Got all the grass dug out of the edges of the cannabis plot and all the dirt leveled. Measured out where the 9 plants are gonna go. Tmw or Friday Iām gonna start the companion planting. It looks really nice I think.
dirt-baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaath!!! giant baaaaaaaathrooooooom!!!
All your hard work really shows the plot looks great, and itās going to keep getting better cant wait to see the progress
My back yard is regular black soil, bunch of earthworms in there but I didnāt do anything with it. Literally half of my backyard āgrassā is actually chives
I tried growing them in a pot twice last yearā¦ Couldnāt get them to take. You are talking chives and not green bunching onions right?
In proper cat fashion, Sonny got right inā¦ the giant litter box. Ugh! Fucken pets! lol
Spent way too much time in the garden yesterday. Too much sun. I need to replant 2 more Orange Goji seeds as those were the only 2 that didnāt come up. Feeling too sun drained and lazy today. I think Iāll take a day off from the sun and get those and the companions planted tmw.
yeah Iām pretty positive theyāre chives. Can try and take a pic once this snow melts today or tomorrow, swear spring started last month and I really needed to mow this weekend, but no, it snowed today
I started 2 more Orange Goji seeds today. Noticed that there is seed material in the bottom of the seed bag. Itā's possible I planted some damaged seeds. It was too hard to tell which seeds are okay. Hoping the 2 new ones arenāt damaged and come up.
Still havenāt got my act together and got the companions planted, but its gonna happen. I did put t-posts exactly where the 9 plants will go though. All 9 plants have 6.4 feet between them. This gives them quite a bit of room and probably wonāt even need it as I am gonna train them all through the outdoor scrog like trellises so the branches and buds should be more upright than bushy xmas tree like. The babies look happy and healthy today!
I think you can start bottom watering those babies. Correct me if Iām wrong folks.
When Iāve done that properly itās always worked out really well.
The rain watered all my other seeds that way for awhile after it stopped. Iām a bit more protective of my cannabis seedlings. They arenāt that fragile though. lol Used my little watering can today. Iām dialed in. So far so good! Even started putting the water bucket out to evap chlorine yesterday. They are pretty close to their first feed of Mammoth P and kelp. A few more days.
Got the companions planted in the cannabis bed today as well. I need to start the Cal-Mag drench as well. This year, I am to rotate every 3 weeks between Cal-Mag and Liquid Fish per soil test. Need to get that bed nice and ready. Not to mention keeping the companions happy and healthy.
The babies got their first Mammoth P inoculation today and their first feed. Just a little water soluble kelp. They are happy and healthy so far. May have a itty bitty twin on the Blue Dream. See a little sprout next to it. Waiting on the new orange gojis to pop still. Sure hope they werenāt all crushed. Crossing my fingers
So, it def looks like a twin on my blue dream. Being my only seed, should I wait until itās bigger and just cut it off at the soil line? Iāve personally never had this happen before
if you want it just let it grow some more and then replant
if you donāt want it nip it and thatās that
or you can give it to someone elseā¦ not me, got too many things going on
Do you think it is possible to actually separate it without jacking up the roots on the bigger one? Also, this is a fem seed. Should I be worried about the sex now?
I think this is a LITFA moment, let the twins sort it out, you will know the answer.
Cheers
