@WMoon518. I use this…
Amazon.com : Vermicrop ermicrop VCFIRE VermiFire, 1.5cf Nutrient Rich Potting Soil, 1.5 cu. ft, Brown/A : Soil And Soil Amendments : Patio, Lawn & Garden

Green Coast Hydroponics they are all over Cali. Google for one closest to you. May be long beach but possibly a closer one

I far prefer this Vermifire soil to any fox farms brand. I’ve yet to have a deficiency with it. It says that it’s hot on the bag and may burn seedlings, but I haven’t had a problem with any burning.

Boy, those transplants and watering in my garden was so relaxing. Haven’t been this relaxed since the shelter in place order started

They have a location in Orange and being that I am going to be in GG tomorrow, I will stop by. I just wish they had a better system to order online and P/U at the store.

It was still quick. Dad and I’s round trip, driving included, took 30 mins tops.
Once they open for good, it’s gonna be your go to. I LOVE that place! They have everything, for indoor and outdoor. I go in there just to window shop. lol Plus, they will price match and when you make an account it always has a discount code attached to it. It’s an organic wonderland in there, plus all the other fancy chemical cannabis nutes etc…

Haven’t been to the one in Orange, but the LB and LAX locations are warehouse size.

Already found gypsy moth caterpillars on my petunias. Looks like it’s gonna be weekly bt sprays from now until harvest on everything! Damn.

Bugs been munching the babies. Nothing that will kill them. I have them off the ground too on my patio table. Not sure what to do. Maybe spray the table with spinosad?

Alright, I think I have a plan. The table is fairly close to my big avocado tree, could be bugs getting across on the wind from it. It’s heavy as hell as it’s glass, but I’m gonna try to move it away some. I’ll power spray the whole thing down with bleach, then spinosad the entire ground around it and spray the table and the babies with it. If I can move that heavy mofo. I can probably do the spin method once I clear it off and inch it bit by bit to a new spot. sigh.

Went and completely bleached and high pressure sprayed the whole table. As soon as I was done, earwigs started crawling out all over the place. Seems the table that is made of wicker and glass is a earwig colony. They hide inside the wicker and the legs of the table. I decided to break out 2 metal folding chairs and moved the cannabis plants across the entire yard and put them on there instead. I’m gonna bug spray the shit out of that table once the sun goes down anyway, but I couldn’t have the plants near the earwigs they really destroy leaves.

Started smoking some of the Botafumeiros bud I grew last year. Holy hell, is it possible for weed to get stronger after the cure? This stuff practically makes my legs buckle. Crazy strong! It wasn’t hitting me like this before.

Okay question… I have the babies on folding chairs in the middle of the grass. Do you think it would be terrible of me to sprinkle Sevin all over the grass around the chairs? I know it’s an ugly chemical, but it’s really far from any of the planters or veggie patch. Figure it would kill anything trying to climb up the chairs. Thoughts?

Sounds like you’re going a little too far with things. You can/should only do so much but if the bugs are actually causing damage to young plants then do what you gotta do I suppose. Have you considered a cloche or some sort of fine netting to protect them during their vulnerable period?

Yeah, you’re right. I also was reminded by a friend that my pets go out there and roll around in the grass. Instead I just did a bt spray for the caterpillars I found on the petunias and nasturtiums. Sprayed all the planters with it. I think moving the babies to the new spot should keep most of the earwigs at bay. Pretty sure that’s what was munching on my leaves. I’ll just keep an eye on the trays they are in where those suckers try to hide and keep the chairs hosed off. They just need to get about a foot taller and the earwigs will leave them alone for awhile.

Once they hit real soil they got super excited it seems. Doesn’t take long for the seed starter aka promix to start hindering growth when you aren’t feeding chemical nutes
