Hmmm… i found the BD a bit racy. Maybe it was just picked early?
These are F1’s right? Hybrid vigor exerting itself perhaps? Having tasted examples of the parent stock. question will be can she support those flowering stalks when they come since both parents can be floppy. Those supports will help.
Actually, I find all sativa and sativa leaners a bit racy for the first 20 mins. So I may not be the best person to ask. The Blue Dream I’ve found to quickly level off and become very uplifting, but also a body calm that isn’t heavy or buzzing. If you are a sativa fan and you found it too racy, you’re probably right, too early. Personally, I like that strain at all cloudy no amber, but we all know that’s preference.
I think it’s an F1 on the Orange Goji, but I honestly don’t remember
That Orange Goji throws a lot of stank, for sure. It’s pretty hard to conceal the smell, outside of a room with negative pressure and a large charcoal filter
I’m pretty happy about making a bunch of F2 seeds, it’s gonna be an interesting pheno hunt
Wish I could grow 'em big outdoors like you, I’m pretty envious!
Blue Dream and Blue Gelato are in preflower. Or is it really flower as they are forming clusters of pistils, but not quite forming buds yet? Anyway, best get on it with sprouting those popcorn seeds for the transition tea. On my way to the kitchen now. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.
For anyone interested, organic popcorn sprout tea is great for transitioning from veg to flower. Got this tip from @Sunvalley. Anyway, soak a cup of popcorn seeds in water, drain but leave moist. I throw them in a ball jar. Wet them every day, they will sprout tails. When they’ve sprouted, sort them, throw out any that didn’t sprout. The sprouted ones, grind them up really fine then mix in with 5 gallons of water then water in your plants.
Well, some kind of tiny black bugs in clusters on the OG Kush. Blasted it with the hose, but some remain. I don’t know what they are, but Spinosad will kill them. Gonna drench all of the plants at sundown. Me no likey bugs.
Do you have a flat (fan)setting on your sprayer I feel I can get at bugs better with this setting. R your flowers full in flower yet? Mine just took off like Rocket wondering if it was the tea, this was quite the concoction I brewed up this time!
After a frustrating 3 hour phone call with my client who is in France (one of those people who likes to complicate the simplest shit ugh), I realize that today the garden has a scheduled Cal/Mag drench. Last night after bug spraying them, I was looking at them really close and could once again see clearly my pruning vision. So today, I am gonna get out there and see if I can find it again and prune away as this will probably be the last major pruning before flower starts. Of course, now it’s dead smack into the hottest part of the day (Thanks pain in my ass client) and I won’t have enough time to prune and drench at sundown. So here I go, another sunburn is imminent. Yes, I am the ultimate white girl and burn over my tan no matter how much sunscreen I use. It’s an Irish curse. Too bad I only have a few drops of American Indian blood.
4 1/2 hours in the sun. Pruned all 11 plants, raked and cleaned up resulting mess. Chopped down volunteer cosmo “trees” as I could no longer walk down the path. Cut down all the brown leaves that remained from the gladiolas, watered the hell out of everything plus the scheduled Cal/Mag drench.
It is days like today when I can’t figure out why I grow cannabis when I could just pop a pill in 2 seconds instead. When I’m starving, sunburned, exhausted and every part of my body hurts especially the excrutiating back pain, I want to just get out the bypass pruners, chop these fuckers to the ground, quit smoking cannabis and go on with my life. Tomorrow or maybe the net day, I will love them again. Today, the plants can go to hell. Stay tuned for 2 part video. I forgot to delete the old ones so the phone ran out of space in the middle of the video.
Enjoy. I’m off to die now on the couch, but first shower and food.
It’s 9 pm. Just went to check on the plants. They are all closed up and screaming Leave me Alone! After the heavy pruning followed by a Cal/Mag drench they are photosynthesizing and trying to figure out what the hell just happened. Do I hate her or love her? That’s what I imagine they are thinking right now. They look exactly like I feel. I showered and ate and am going to bed. I never do that. Never go to bed early. Usually between 1 and 3 am… Nite Nite
After working my butt off in the garden on Thursday, I had extreme back pain the next 2 days and wanted absolutely nothing to do with my garden. lol It’s crazy how when you are middle aged the very act of bending over can injure you or screw you up for days. I mean I worked hard out there for 4 hours or so, but I wasn’t digging or doing any heavy lifting. Simply bent over about 100 times cleaning up pruning debris and dragging the hoses around the yard. These days one wrong bend and you jack yourself up. Aging can suck it.
Anyway, hadn’t touched a thing out there. Finally today, Bruce the practice plant was pissed and screaming for water. The rest in the ground were fine, but my dahlia leaves had a slight droop starting too, so I knew I had to get my shit together and water everything. Everything is alive, happy and a good 6 to 7 inches larger. My back feels better now and I’m loving my very large babies again. I missed their BT spray on Friday cuz I just didn’t care. Fortunately, I haven’t seen a darn thing on them so they will be fine skipping a week. However, flower is imminent now and I will not miss anymore or it will be certain caterpillar doom to the buds.
So, a few leaves on Bruce have this orange tinge to them. Last things that I gave her were the dry flower nutes and watered in some kelp. What does she want? She isn’t flowering yet. Should I give her a big nitrogen feed? She did get a cal-mag drench last week as well
