We bought our buckets from a hydro store, but the food grade lids at home depot cuz they were cheaper. Why they sell the food grade lids but not foid grade buckets at home depot is beyond me! If no local hydro shop near you, you’ll have to search the internet. Shouldn’t be real tough as restaurants use tons of them for food storage.

The food lids are called gamma lids I think, they look like this.
If you have a restaurant depot, they probably have them too

There is a sub shop close. We can buy their old pickle buckets for like 2 bucks. Good luck getting the smell out though. Not gonna cure in that.

I swear you guys, this covid stuff has turned everything into a shit show. I’m just sticking to internet ordering everything until it’s over. Everytime I try to do anything in the real world lately, it’s been a horrible experience and I come home grumpy and pissy. Sheesh. Hope y’all are staying well. Especially @GMan as you said you have been ill. I’m glad I’ve seen glimpses of you daily here so I know you are still kicking. We just can’t be too careful right now.

I’ve got a jar of Glue that smells like garlic, for a very similar reason. For some reason, nobody wants to smoke it, lol.

I hang to cure then use plastic totes to age a little more . Easy to open and hold several pounds and stack great . If things get a little dry I toss some flour tortilla’s in over night and things are great . Home Depot normally has stacks the big yellow ones . Yellow lids

My local lowes carries the food grade buckets as well as the gamma lids. Check there perhaps. And yes, they say on them, food grade in big letters.

Actually rescheduled a client today due to depression. Can’t remember the last time had to do that. Just couldn’t get myself to leave the house, even though I kept getting ready. Showering was almost too much to deal with. Fucken depression. I couldn’t even tell you what is wrong with me, that’s the kicker. Funny, I can type here, but the thought of actual people in person, gives me anxiety. Leaving the house or even washing the 3 dishes in the sink feels overwhelming. It’s probably the covid and all the other shit going on in the world. I’ve cut off the news and social media outside of here, but it creeps in. Thanks for listening.
