For me it feels like I’m gonna go into a seizure. I had them before in the hospital. If I lose my meds. The ones that take away the anxiety and panic attacks I will wind up hospitalized if I don’t get. I take them religiously. Im in my upper 30s and don’t need any sit from doctors or being hospitalized cuz I don’t have my scripted filled…
The Orange Goji it turns out is at 9 days of drying, but I snapped a really dense bud in half with no stringing so it went in to cure. This year it seems most of my strains have been dry at day 8 or 9. So far I’ve had no mold on any in dry or cure! Yay! Seems I’ve honed those particular skills. Screwed up a few batches last year, but caught on very quickly.
A few of the strains have been in the buckets for a week or more and are getting their smells on. Blue Dream now for one. Really nice, heavy on the blueberry. Really a first I’ve had with this much blueberry smell and with as many of this strain that I’ve grown. Bruce has a scent going on now, I’d describe as kush like. Blue gelato has actually a lovely scent of some unidentifiable made up flavor of candy. GDP also like candy. Skunk 1 smells like nothing so far, only 1 day in the bucket, not even a hay smell. lol Spectral Tangerine has no more curry smell and is heavy on the tangerine peel.
I had a random bud lying around that I thought was cackleberry. Stuck it in a tiny jar to cure yesterday. One whiff on a so far one day cure and it’s very obviously Orange goji not Cackleberry. My poor cackleberry has just been mostly lost and ignored not only in my mention but my mind. It is up in the rack drying. I’ve been so hung up on dealing with bud rot etc… plus the men trimmed it that I practically forgot how exciting it is. Watch, it will finish drying, go in the bucket quietly and come out to be the best smoke of the bunch. lol
It’s really rare that I ever smoke any indicas or even indica dominant hybrids because they mess with me. I have to say though as subdued as the Blue Gelato is in taste and what I would consider to be an average middle of the road strain with no real wow factor, it makes me fairly sleepy. I’m kind of stoked on this as some of my sativas allow me to sleep no problem, but a few strains will straight keep me awake like the energizer bunny. The orange goji last night, for one. It’s def not a night time strain, unless you want to party. I’m generally a good sleeper on my own, but it’s nice to have a sleepy strain that doesn’t make me paranoid on hand. Haven’t really had any since @ReikoX autos I grew last year and those strains are long gone and smoked at this point.
Edit - I take it back, Blue Gelato has a wow factor, but it only lies in the way it grows and it’s massive dense buds. Growing she was quite the sight to behold, but that’s mostly it. Makes good photos you can impress your friends with. lol
@Howard.Crane I’ve been meaning to discuss the leaf variegation on your last OG batch with you. I’ve only realized this in retrospect now that I’ve seen your finished plant. Were all of yours variegated or just this plant? What I know about leaf variegation is only from non cannabis plants and my f2 expressed it on only 1/4 of the plant. Until I saw yours, I had just thought I had some weird fade on one section of my plant. Now I realize the plant is variegated.
It wasn’t really variegated in the true sense, as it didn’t show that trait until the end of flower. This is the same Orange Goji #2 that I’ve been running since the beginning, it just looks different this time.
That’s probably down to a few factors working together: it was revegged, it was too close to the lights, the weather is getting cooler (but still never goes below 72), and the last few rez refills have been at a lower E.C., which probably worked like a “flush”.
That’s my best guess
I’ve had many plants that are heavily variegated from beginning to end, though. It’s extremely common in Blueberry, for instance.
To me, that’s fascinating. It’s like the red headed step child pops out. A recessive gene plant. lol In regular plants with variegation, I know that the dominant gene will try to wipe out the variegation, so you are supposed to cut out any regular leaves or branches that are non variegated or the plant will revert itself. It would be interesting to watch that happen on an annual plant especially cannabis. lol
I used to read about every new thread …that came up. It is a big world and I just stay in my neighborhood and try to be productive, Enough going on in the world without adding some more drama and so I find myself much more selective these days.
Amen! to that
It’s not just indigestion!
Meesh’s thread is a forum in itself.
yeah its pretty sad, to be honest, but threads like yours and others here give me hope - you just have to be selective like most things in life
Well, the depression lifted. Feeling like my happy self again. The weird body hangover is lingering though. I must have really been eratic with my medication for it to be a 2 dayer. Been taking the stuff for like 15 years and missing one day is fine, it’s built up in my system, but this is obviously a week or two of missing quite a few. Doubt it was all in a row, but this much body sick, yeah I screwed up for at least a week or two. Took my dose first thing again this morning. Hopefully I’ll be back to normal by this afternoon. Darn time release capsules.
Wishing everyone a great day! It is absolutely beautiful outside here today. Hope it’s the same wherever you are. No slothing for me today. Off to earn some bread.
If it wasn’t for this grow log yesterday, which weirdly makes me feel accountable, the buckets wouldn’t have gotten burped and the dry orange goji would still be sitting in the drying rack. Glad I have you people here to give me an odd kick in the ass when I’m down, even if you don’t even realize it.
Alright done rambling, heading to my client’s office on the beach. It’s impossible for that to suck even if it’s work.
El Segundo, Manhattan Beach?
I think she called it The PV
12th Street Manhattan Beach… ding ding ding! You win the prize!
@cannabissequoia you making fun of me with “The” PV? bahahahahaha!!! No it’s just PV. I think you meant The 405 PV had all the cliffs remember? Couple cities over
The Travel Lodge on Sepulveda is the best hotel deal in the area so I’m pretty sure I drove past it a thousand times and I have an unusual memory. I never remember to forget. Did you ever hear about the actress Marilu Henner’s memory. She has almost total recall on every moment of her life. Mine isn’t the same, it’s more connected to my PTSD-C. It’s almost like re-living every memory over and over, so the emotion attached is almost as intense. If I remember something embarrassing, I will say out loud, “I’m sorry.” like a reflex all the time. I will get lost in thought and the person next to me will snap me back into the present and ask, “What do you mean no?” Huh? “You just said no three times.” I did. Oh, never mind.
Was in Laguna yesterday. Might have been the best beach day of the year. Perfect water and air temps. Felt like Hawaii. Crystal clear waters.
What is UFS 18? I tried searching thread but could not figure it out.
I’m the complete opposite. I’ve blocked out most of my life, all the way through my 20’s. Every once in awhile, I’ll remember these crazy stories, then I’m glad that I’ve blocked most things out. I try to stay as much in the present moment as possible at all times. It’s not easy, but it’s key to my happiness. Not sure I envy your recall, but I have experienced the same thing. PTSD from living with an alcoholic for 11 years. It gets triggered by alcoholics when they are drunk. Not drunk people or just alcoholics, but drunk alcoholics. They fkn terrify me and I will instantly relive the past. I don’t do drunks. Don’t let them near me under any circumstance,
Uncle Festers Skunk 18 the first skunk strain aka Skunk 1969
I did a 12 week PTSD therapy and it did help. It’s hard to realize that trauma can’t be undone and that complex PTSD happens over a long period of time and is somewhat different from PTSD stemming from a single or limited number of incidents. You aren’t alone and I think that the soothing effects of cannabis are especially helpful to so many of us with PTSD, anxiety, depression and so many other mental health issues that aren’t understood.
