This is Sherzad, 82 year old farmer from Nagar Hoper Valley Gilgit who is ethnic Wakhani. He claims that his family is the first one to introduce cannabis in the region of Gilgit’s Upper Hunza.
The Wakhi people are an ethnic and linguistic group living in the remote regions of Central Asia, mainly in majority in the areas of Afghanistan (Sarhad-e Broghi, Qilai Panja and Langar), northern Pakistan (Dir, Chitral and Gilgit), and Tajikistan (Murghab and Rushan Dist).
They are associated from the Wakhan corridor, which is a narrow belt of land in North-East Afghanistan which separates Tajikistan from Pakistan and borders with China to east where there is a minority of people mainly in Kashgar or Xinjiang Autonomous region and where they are named as Sarikoli for residing in China.
Most of the places of Wakhani people are geographically isolated due to the inaccessible mountains and terrain, but the People situated in Upper Hunza region have much more exposure and increased influence of the outer world into the people.

Hope this isn’t taken the wrong way or anything like that but I already have a life-time supply of seeds and I do not need or want any prizes. If the prizes could go to someone who does server fund auctions that would be my ask. If not pass them all on down to someone else in mix or whatever. Don’t really care. Just glad to see so many people posting cool pictures here.
If I’m still asked to choose the center picture it would be the amazing dog picture posted by @Pigeonman . Everyone has posted some nice pictures here but that one speaks to me the most out of all. Dogs are sensitive to the environments they are in and such a comfortable & vulnerable posture just screams that it’s in a great, loving, and peaceful place. After witnessing the ridiculous hyperbolic fear-mongering displayed by the opponents of cannabis legalization in my state that image to me flies in face of the propaganda.
