The plants are finishing their stretch and I have started removing fan leaves from the bud zone. We had our first res change and the plants are eating regularly.
The pollen is flying around the room from unit 1, but I will start “brushing” the buds in earnest shortly.
Part of the fun with this project is that we get to grow so many different strains at the same time. The sights and smells in our menagerie of moms are quite delightful!

Pollen production has started to fall off. So it’s time to roll out of the transition chamber. I want to make sure the pollen that is produced has the best chance of making a seed. I have some frozen in reserve for a late round if unit 4 needs it.
But for now - It’s blowing in the wind!

Some plants have started to drop bottom leaves a little early. With so many different strains, I’m happy to say they all seem quite happy with my default nutes.
We still have some male flowers the fan dropped on the buds. I’ve rolled the male back to the transition chamber, where I will continue to collect pollen until the plant is done.

Flowering has definitely started to wind down. Having so many strains growing together is just so much fun. All the different sights and smells, and the endlessly fascinating comparative anatomy class.
I’m almost done with the strain data cards. The data is being compiled and will be released soon.

We did the final res change since the last check in. We have also started PK boosting. The pH has been pretty stable, but will continue to nose down with boosting. There are a few unhappy with the nutes, but not beyond a light malaise with a touch of lockout in the margins. Pretty nice with 18 different strains sharing the same res.
Lots of visible seeds poking out, but no sense yet of how heavy the seeding is.

Our she-male was wacked today. Collected this pollen that I will freeze for now. I’ll pull it out and sift it for deep storage after drying. We have visible seeds everywhere, so it appears to be potent.
The plants have slowed their eating, getting 1 dose of regular food and 1 PK boost. We have green seeds poking out everywhere. Looks like they will need the full final 2 weeks to fully develop.
As always, your comments and questions are welcome.
The plants are finishing. There are several ready to chop, but we are going longer to ensure our still green seeds are fully developed.
Tomorrow we will start clearing with our first res drop. Half the res is drained and replaced with RO. Terps are added to help retain oils and aromas. This will be done twice to get our ppms below 200.

These are coming down shortly. After many months of planning and implementation, it’s down to the pinching and counting!
I’ll be updating results over the next couple weeks. Next things to do will be germ test and make decisions about which strains will be first to do a pheno hunt with.
Which crosses are you most interested in seeing grown out?

We are moving things around and getting ready for the next round.
We still have pounds of bud to finish pinching seeds from. A difficult task during normal times, but complicated for the holidaze if you are familiar with the work involved.
But survey testing has shown that we have created seeds of all crosses in target quantities.
I’m late to the game here but this is really cool stuff. You started with amazing crosses i’ve not even been able to try before and then are making fem seeds. Very cool stuff!
