2nd Grow: berry theme

That’s right cuz you need the amber for your pain issues. Dang you need to get it just right so it helps you through your day and keeps you from falling asleep while working on your lawn mower lolololol

If by “lawnmower”, you mean three ton tractor, you’d be right.
I have 4 legged lawnmowers.

Lucky I want a tractor lol. Question y’all. When you say you want like 10% amber , Do you go off 10% you see on each catalyx thing? Or you look at 10 catalyxs and as long as one of them has amber on it it’s good?? Cuz I’m having a hard time figuring out if this plants ready. Some have heavy amber, some have none. Thanks

Trichomes seem to ‘age’ at different rates on the plant.
I go by ‘average’.

For ‘fun & games’ I did a staggered harvest on my last grow… I took 1/2 of the plant early a week early and 3+ weeks later I got the second half harvested.
The 2nd harvest was delayed (family matters) but it was an interesting experiment, I’d suggest other folks try it.

Will you be doing that more regularly @Gpaw? I am considering this for my upcoming harvest.
What was you conclusion, worth the extra time?

I think it is a handy tool when growing out an unknown strain.

It’s a little like playing Battleship, after a couple shots you might not have hit your target but you have a pretty good idea where it is… :+1:
To me, this will be useful when I grow out the longer flowering plants where the harvest window may be 4 weeks (or more).

The way I take it is looking at 100 ± trichomes, there should be 10 amber ones, 85 cloudy and 5 clear trichome heads.
That would make me happy. :v:

The main thing is make sure your looking at bud and not sugar leaf. The leaves develop amber sooner than the buds do normally.

9 weeks and 2 days! I think it’s ready finally! At least the top cola all these are from the top

They are so very close but, for me, I would go longer. She has about eat herself up though. Well done! lol

Dang you go longer? I thought I let it go too long! Judging based on the trichrome pictures or the overall look? I know there’s still white hairs but man there mega amber on some of them!

Awesome!!! I cut the main cola and am going to let the side buds go for another week or so for some super amber to try it out. Yay!

@Gpaw is right. I found that if I go deeper into amber my smoke helps control my tremors better. Like I said though, it’s an individual thing and Gpaw is correct as well. I know most on here would be chopping away with a smile from ear to ear with how they look right now.
:slightly_smiling_face:
Nicely done and congrats on the harvest!!

Thanks! My woman has back problems from child bearing and epidurals so I wana see if super amber will help her with that with letting the rest go. I refuse to have her take narcotic pharma prescriptions

Here’s a fresh pluck from the lower half I kept. It is definitely ready any time! I feel so good about this one, looking back on my first grow I regret pulling them early now that I see how much further along I needed to let her go! But hey now I know! Man this stuff is addicting!

If that don’t put a smile on your face you’ve had WAY too much plastic surgery!
That looks marvelous !!!

So today is 10 weeks and 2 days since flip. The lower half I left still hasn’t turned real amber in a weeks time! Most all of the trichs are cloudy and in some spots there’s amber. So no real change since last week. How far is TOO far to let this plant go?? Don’t the trichs start to deteriorate after a certain point?
