2nd Time Growing 🇦🇷

Hi growers! It’s been a long time since my last post here. This was hell of a year for me and my country.
Been working 12 hours a day for less than 200 usd, and now, just in time for outdoor growing, I was able to go back to my old job, working for almost the same money but only 4 hours per day, wich is perfect for me, as I am also studying.

Last time, I grew random seeds from nugs I smoked. This time I bought seeds.

I’m going to grow three plants again. First one is a random seed lol, but the second and third are genetics.

So, right now the first one is four weeks old. This is a random seed but from a really good nug, it was a genetic but forgot witch cause I didn’t label anything this year. Complete mess in my head being stuck in that job.

As you can see, we are at early stages, just moved this one to the super soil. It looks likes she is feeling amazing about it.

This year I’m using a light soil for the first month, then switching to a super soil prepared for veg, so I’ll only add stuff in flowering stage. It also has mycorrhizae and trichodermas to help a safer grow.

This little one is a Feminized seed, the name is Petroleum, by Sweeds Lab, one of the only three brands officialy labeled by the gov.

I really have so many hopes with her. I’ll try to do my best.

The third plant, is a clone from allegedly Northern Lights that a friend is growing right now, so I’ll have it the next month or so.

I’ll be editing this post and adding updates. This time, I´ll measure my water ph (wich a neighbor told me is like 9, and for cannabis should be around 6.5). Hope everyone likes to follow this grow in Southamerica.

Have a nice and sunny weekend fellas!!

Parcero! Que bueno verlo por estos lados. Bacano ese strain, Petroleom. Aunque, para ser honesto, poco me gusta los gas terps.

I’ll be watching along.

Buenos humos!

I couldn’t find anything about the Petroleum strain. Is that a Pure Michigan pheno?

Here in Argentina is completely legal to produce and sell seeds. But only a couple of banks are actually certified to doing the actual selecting and breeding work. There are a lot of scam banks.

So if you are into Cannabis and know who is doing real stuff it’s pretty easy to get good strains.

All I know is that the master grower of the brand has been working since the 90s, they have mother plants from actual clones of the strains. If you look them up in google you will find their offical web, and also you could look up for their instagram, were they upload a lot of info.
It’s all in Argentinian spanish, though

UPDATE

2023-12-27T02:51:00Z

This friday I’m going to star measuring water pH, wich a neighbour told me is around 9 here, so is way off from the recommenden 6.5-7.

Plants are doing great, and added two more genetics to the garden.
A growshop around here did a collect for people in need, told them I was growing and shared with me some seeds of their own breeding collection.

It’s called ‘Crema #1 x Stardawg’. I don’t know what the first one is, I’ll ask this week for more info.

I have high hopes on this littles donnas. The one in the light blue is going to be a gift for a really close friend, he has massive space to grow so really interested on what is going to look like at the end of the road.

This the random seed. It’s actually pretty strong as it survived the struck of Odin, my one-eyed kat :joy_cat:. He took it out from the roots!! Found it later and it survived! Hope it’s a she.

This is the petroleum, growing slow, I think it’s because of pH. Also little sun burns on the leafs.

This is it for now. Did this update mostly to show the new ones. I’ll update again in 15 days or so.

Have a nice new year everyone!

9 is very basic, here’s a chart of what nutrients are available at what pH ranges for soilless media (what it seems you’re growing in)

And for soil:

Such high pH can cause an abundance of other elements (nutrients) to build up, causing a lockout effect, or a burn.

Wow, I didn’t think soilless would be that acidic!

Thx for the info!! When I come back home I’ll upload info about the soil I’m using. Is a light one for the firts month then changing to a loaded one. Thank you very much!!

Hey guys. How you doing?? This update is going to be kinda sad.

Starting off, after the last update, I bought the pH meter, so I started seing a proper upgrade on the plants.

But shortly after this, a huge storm came and literally rained inside my house, killing the petroleum and both crema seedlings. As a plus my cat learned to open doors, he is a proper demon, and literally pruned the random seed plant. Thankfully this is fully recovered from the cat attack.

After all this stuff, I moved everything outside and made a roof that covers from both rain and sun, especially used that for the recover of the NN (Random seed) and a new seedling from the crema strain.

A friend of mine, wich is growing more than 20 plants in his field, outside, also had Petroleum and made me a clone, witch I’ll pick up on February 10th.

This is how the plants are lookung right now.

This is the NN. first pick is the result of the cat attack, and the next two are today.

This is the new seedling Crema #1 x Stardawg.
Right now it’s in a 18-6 cycle, under a common 50W led.

The NN is doing sunlight from 5.30am to 19 and then under the same led until 0000. So also in 18-6.
I’m adding this couple hours with the led to help it recover the time missed on re growing from the attack.

Also, I need help. This monday, I’m going on holidays and I’ll be away from the plants for a week. The seedling is going to be under the led, so I’m not worried about that one, also my grandma, an old school hippie on his 70s, is going to check them everyday. The thing is, would it be much of a loss if I leave the other plant under the led too?? I´m to worried about the rain, and the possibilty of soil getting too dry and me not being able to take care of them. But also I don’t know if I’m actually screwing it up by not giving it proper sun for a week.

I’m thinking of transplanting the seedling to 500ml (It’s on 125ml) just before leaving so I can actually water it properly (like 80ml with some myco), and the other one witch is in a 5 liter pot, water it with 500ml of water plus some fert. Do you guys think they will hold with that for 7 days?

Edit: I could actually transplant the seedling right now, so I could see how it developes until monday that I leave.

Put them in a small tray filled with however much water you think they will need.

That won’t create fungus??

Let’s say your plants drink 500 ml every three days. You’re gone for a week so 500 mls gets you where you wanna be.

I wouldn’t leave them in standing water forever but a few days is no big deal.
