Day 96 (day 48 since flip)

Lots of things happening in the Zen Den today. Took some steps to help (hopefully) improve some of this issues going on with the plants as well as to increase the overall quality of the soil that I’m growing in. I did remove some of the lower yellow leaves but I tried to leave as much as I could. I still see some gradual yellowing occurring on various areas of both plants, but I do think it has slowed down. I also backed the light intensity from 90% to 75% for a few days which brought my ppfd levels down from 800-900 to 600-700. I plan to bump the light back up to 90% here in the next day or two as long as things look okay.

Over the weekend I picked up some gypsum powder along with some Down to Earth azomite trace minerals. I plan to re-use this soil in the future so I figure I might as well work on creating a thriving environment for my plants and I just feel like a few things were lacking. I’ve had the soil for my next grow “cooking” for the last few weeks with Gaia Green and earth worm castings so these new nutrient additions will get incorporated into that mix as well. I have some DynoMyco mycorrhizae coming in the next few days so that will also be used on the next grow’s soil mix, especially at transplant time. We’ll see how things pan out!

Tonight I gave both plants a good soaking after top dressing with 1 tbsp each of epsom salts and gypsum, and 2 tbsp of the azomite trace minerals.

After much consideration we have a winner for our next strain that we will be running in the Zen Den. Ice Cream Cake #5 from @TestOfOath! I had been wanting to run something crossed with either Gelato or Wedding Cake for awhile now, so when I was lucky enough to win these beans I knew right away that they were going to get popped in the very near future.

Great job. Beautiful flowers. Looks stinky. I would switch the Recharge with Microbial Mass, Rootwise Bio Phos or Mega Phos at week 2F.

Peace

Thank you! They’re both very sticky and absolutely full of sweet/citrus/candy terps at the moment. I looked into all three of your suggestions…I appreciate the advice! I think any of those would be a big help for what looks like is/was a phosphorous deficiency in my plants.

Sorry it took so long to see this, I’ve been MIA for a bit. You won’t be disappointed with ICC #5 though, to this day one of my favorite cultivars! Let me know if you’re ever in need down the road, I may be able to get something your way again, can’t wait to see how she comes out and what you think!
