Agreed. I’ve ran with blumats as well. Steady state of happiness. That’s what these plants look like.
I don’t want to call this setup a success until harvest. There’s a few lessons learned on this first attempt. But overall, way easier than any system I’ve tried before. I’m looking for any additional steps I can eliminate or automate for the next run.
Quick research and found the parts. Would be a similar setup to what I had with blumats. I think cons outweigh pros for me.
With bottles, I can control how frequently I refill (using larger bottles). This ensures less stale water and need for additional equipment. This also uses less space.
With reservoir, I need more equipment, more maintenance (cleaning lines or reservoir), more points of failure, and uses more space.
I think determining factor is scale. Small setup and numbers then current solution is fine. Larger numbers would justify reservoir setup.
