50 Watts per square foot is what was advised for HID lighting with supplemental CO2. With the newer efficient Samsung 301B diodes like in the spider farmer, 25-30 Watts per square foot is adequate. That’s still 175-210 Watts for your space.

I’m honestly surprised, I started out growing about 15 yrs ago with a pair of 150 watt hps that gave me about 30watts per square foot and I was never able to get those super tight hard heavy buds I was after.
I can say Im definitely getting those results now and loving it. My current space is 3.5 x 5ft and my led is drawing 550w from the wall. I called my space a 3x3 because thats sll I was using on my last grow.
My next grow will be 9 to 10 plants and ill be using the full 3.5 x 5. This space was a new grow room so I wanted to keep it simple to really get things dialed in.

It’s all about efficiency bro, 150W HPS isnt nearly as efficient as a 600W HPS, which isn’t as efficient as the new 1000W DE bulbs. Watts really are a terrible measure for lights.

Hell yeah I’m using a 32in x 32in right now and am getting all my equipment together for a 5 x 5…I’m excited to have more space. You can get away with running regs instead of just fems if you want

Veg tent.
By the time the girls in the flower tent are done these are going to be beasts.
I switched from Fox farm to roots organics nutrient line and I instantly saw the difference. PH doesn’t drop with the blooming ferts, comes with organic amendments instead of salts
roots soil had tons of bugs in it though, I needed spinosad to kill them all.

Girls in flower don’t look that great but should make decent ice hash, I’ll give them two more weeks and then I’ll trim up, stick these 4 bushes in there, xplant these monster cropped freaks that still aren’t growing straight and let them bush out.
Might have to flip this 4k veg tent to 12/12 I’m gonna run out of room…

mulling over a bigger tent, I can take the two qbs out of here, put them in the 2x4 and move the 2x4 480watt QB and put it in the 4x4 I’m thinking of.
But this is plenty of weed, why bother. I think I don’t want to trim this, finding ways around it.
