Seeds are legal in a lot of European countries as long as they are not germinated. Unfortunately in some countries laws are more strict and seeds found in your mail mean you will have a visit by the cops.

By “around europe”, @50State probably has the EU in mind. The European Union. Switzerland is not a part of this Union and hemp seeds are prohibited.
When I order seeds, I have them sent to a friends place in Germany

Germany is one of the places in the EU where seeds are illegal and come with cops attached if you are unlucky.

right…! if the seeds are concealed in pidgeon sand or a DVD cover, chances that they pass are great.
A postal package within the EU is never examined, cause it crosses no border 
But a package from Canada to Switzerland is another piece of cake Better be safe then sorry !
