A big bears grows and tribulations

The LA Confidential has proven itself to be a classic oleskool strain with beautiful characteristics. I’m trying to save them from a spider mite infestation of my flower tent. I’m in a state of panic. This is my prime growing time and I have to shut down and clean and treat everything. So discouraging. I hope the seeds work out for you. It is some fine oleskool herb. :cowboy_hat_face:

Self topped? Please esplain for an old stoned hippie. How does a plant self top? What is this you speak of my mentor? Can one also self transplant? I’m ostracized. :cowboy_hat_face:

This will turn around for you brother. You have a lot of Karmic Capital. Look at it as an opportunity to upgrade. Be positive, drive fast and take chances! You’ll be better than ever. Much Love and Respect

Sometimes a plant will just stop growing at the apical meristem. The lateral branches will grow out and it will look like it was topped. This is what some people referred to as self topped. I had a cherry tart do this recently.

@oleskool830 my friend, Your generosity is only exceeded by your character.
I haven’t had a lot of faith in my fellow man with recent events in bear land, but Ray’s of sunshine like this make a bear proud to be a part of the overgrow community.
Kick ass genetics my friend.
I hope to reciprocate soon!

Oh shit! Did I drop some seeds in that cool T-Shirt I sent you? Oh well, “finders keepers” I hope you enjoy them my brother. I got some Copper Chem seeds from Greenpoint. 3 have sprouted and growing. I think of you every time I open that tent. I’m such a “helicopter parent” to them. I Love my Chemdog!

It was an excellent find my brother!!!
Copper will blow your mind. Worth every penny and likely the best representative variant of chemdog in existence. I’ve never seen or heard a negative review or bad grow.
You’ll likely get one if three expressions. Chem d, chem 4, or stardawg. All three will kick ass. Higher probability in chem 4 ( my favorite short of chem 91)

Well worth the 3hr drive to Sacramento.
Dark heart nurseries, 2 blue dream, and 2 sour diesel.
Working on a mom tent.
I need ideas on a reasonable seed version of blue dream to cross back to. Only thing i have in inventory is Greenpoint’s blue dream/ stardawg.
Sour d is for some more tweaking to my diesel project.
I kinda bought these out of the convenience of
Being in town. I’ll get them potted today and get the mom tent setup ordered.

Scary drive! Those little babies are suprisingly smelly in the truck cab.
2 gallon pots and a blurple ufo from yesteryear have em happy as clams.
I won’t be going into production or seeds untill 2019 but Its nice to have something to dote over.

I used darkheart nursery for about 4 years when I lived in the bay, I grew both of those cuts and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed with those genetics. I would also recommend their purple diesel, it smelled like Moroccan rosewater and pineapple in my greenhouse grow.

and he forgot to stop by

I’ve had good and bad from Darkheart. A year ago or so there apparently was a lot of virus contamination coming from Oakland, and I’m pretty sure my GDP had it. From my readings they got it handled finally.

that’s bummer to hear, my experience with them was 2014 and earlier. Hope it didn’t have any lasting effects on your garden. And hopefully darkheart have gotten things cleaned up and straightened out.

Yeah, the GDP plant grew like pine tree…f’ing SLOW & “lame”. Then I read or heard about the big Oakland nurseries all having virus problems that took them a while to figure out. (some time in the last 1-2 years). I just hot composted all of my rootballs so hopefully I’m just paranoid.

I think I got Chocolate Hashberry from them via an S1 seed a few years ago and it was excellent. One I’d consider again for sure. Mine was sativa-dominant & BIG with a skunk-berry smell. The Chocolate either wasn’t there, evaporated, or my poor senses couldn’t pick it up. Effect was A+…smooth & heavy.

I honestly didn’t know they sold clones to Nevada residents but finally thought to ask while picking up some smoke for the weekend. Sorry @cannabissequoia it was a hectic day lol.
I’m hoping to get rolling again after New year’s.

Thanks for the info. I’ve crossed my chem91#12/ caliconection sour d to the dark heart clone once already but I haven’t grown her proper sinsemella style yet, just a quick run through the breeder buckets.
When I get my setup finished I’ll do a proper seedless run.

Cant understand why 2x2 tents aren’t available in taller versions.
I need something with a small footprint for the time being for personal stash grows but everything is under 60 inches.
Height wise I can’t go under 7ft with my grow style
This is really frustrating
I hate starting over

Could you manage using 2 of them stacked? Cut out bottom of one, top of other, fasten/customize frame? That might be cheaper than trying to completely fabricate one but I dunno. :four_leaf_clover: :bear:
