I also use 91% rubbing alcohol.
I like to let the insides of the jars develop a nice amount of trichome build-up.
I always clean many jars at a time.
I pour only a couple of ounces into the jars,
shake vigorously, let the jars sit for a little while and repeat a few times.
I pour out the alcohol onto a large dinner plate(s) or platter(s). The alcohol evaporates pretty quickly. I then scrape up the gooey, good residue.
Oh, right after I pour the alcohol onto the plate, I wipe the inside of jar with clean rag or paper towel.
Gets the interiors nice and clean.
This plus some table salt like @ryasco said upthread â itâll clean your sticky weed mess off of any glassware you have, be it for smoking or for storing. Others have told me that sand and hot water is also a good route to go, but the sand doesnât dissolve like salt
I would not like to smoke salt, so I only use the alcohol.
I like to clean a bunch of jars at the same time, and then let the alcohol evaporate, leaving the trichomes which were dissolved in the alcohol behind as the residue.
This way I have lots of residue.
I only clean my jars after about a year or so of trichome build-up on the interiors of the jars.
I like to smoke the âleftoverâ trichomes zealously!
