A Man & His Space-Can #01

Yeah. Today I’ll be adding the reflective side to the bucket if I don’t end up ordering a cheap tent from Amazon. I was also thinking of growing the plant towards the side to stun the height growth. I’ll be experimenting if anything.

The vegetation stage, will be when I manipulate the trees direction of growth. The branches will be curved dramatically. Can anyone help me with the stress straining? And advice.

If you buy a tent see what ac infinity has. I just got 2 of thier 4x4s and by far quality is better. It was 119 for 4x4 but they make smaller ones. But nice zippers actually lightproof etc.

Have you thought about turning a spare cabinet into a grow cabinet? Or modifying a closet? Plenty of ways to get creative.

See the only issue is the cost to start up, when having absolutely zero thing to grow with. I’ll just need to install fans and the Mylar reflective at this point. This is a project I improve on and make work. Even if I improve equipment, it’s the nostalgia and memory from this grow and experience ima wanting out do it. For some reason a DIY project sounds like fun to me. But a hassle. I’m also considering it more so I can engineer the whole thing myself.

I have a closet where I’d place the grow tent or bucket at currently. I’d rather construct a portable container, in case if I move. Or need to travel. So from what I’m getting everyone is telling me to just buy the tent already.

They’re just so handy (tents) and reasonably priced. There are tons of brands, try looking up lumo-x on eBay, I bought a couple of tents and fans from him, very easy to deal with and wiling to bargain if you like doing that

If you have to move sometime breakdown and pack up takes no time at all, light leaks are minimal and can be eliminated completely

I’d go with a tent in a closet or corner before going with the tubs but you’re the one doing the growing here

Pics from the inside would be lovely!! Congrats!!

You might be able to get one free if you contact some companies. Doesn’t hurt to try. :slightly_smiling_face:

You don’t have to buy a tent. I’ve had many great grows without them, still do. If you can find a way to contain and control a small area/environment without doing too much work. Making it easy to put back the way it was. Any space can be converted into a grow space with enough forethought and ingenuity.

I’ll attempt to contacting companies, thank you!

Also, the bin just seems like an easy clean up. All I’m needing to do is construct it at this point. If I get a cheap tent I’ll purchase it. If not, I will just use the bin and get started. I’m sure this diary is in-need of some movement. Might just get this started and post tomorrow. If I get a tent then I can grow more.

Sounds good, looking forward to finding out what you decide. If you see anything you like post a picture here for us to see. It’s amazing how many tents are are available on the market now.

So this will be $60 after coupon and taxes. Can be here tomorrow.

Damn only $60?! Wish we had these back in the day lol. All the cabs I built…man. Was fun though.

You could probably get away with using an exhaust fan like this one for any tent 3x3 or smaller Amazon.com

You might want to get at least a 3x3 if you can afford to, to have more room.

I would love to upgrade. But the $20 more I can’t really sacrifice given I don’t have the filter and vent yet. Still investing as I grow. Won’t need former until flowering stage so I’m fine for now. Please tell me what you’d do?

Thank you for the fan link!!! That’s a good price for a fan like that. Where would I be placed?

If your just in the grow stage now you can hold off on the tent, stick your plant in a corner with a light and it’ll grow just fine. It’s the flowering part that the tent comes in so handy for IMO.

Autos may not need the dark cycle to flower but they still benefit from a controlled environment

I would have to agree that a tent is the way to go. :slightly_smiling_face:

That fan is actually decent for a budget 4" i have one.

Unless you have some really stinky strains, a carbon filter really isn’t necessary for 1 or 2 plants, unless you need the smell contained. If you want to save some coin, you can build a small and effective carbon filter for cheap. If you can, try to use some spare stuff around the house.

Remember the key here. Keep it simple. Marie Kondo that shit!! Lol
