Set up my seedling cab now and will throw some Banging Big Nosed Kate into soak shortly. Then I just need to get my light re modelled to fit in there, no real hurry for that as the seedlings will only need a small light whilst getting big enough to go into the big girls pot.

I have new plants :heart_eyes:

The first seeds stalled after splitting, so I put them in soil to see if that would help but no. So I started some more, straight into wet paper towel, and whacked the temps up from 75F to 80F and didn’t look at them for 3 days. Checked them yesterday and they had 1 and 1/4 inch tap roots on 3 and a 1/4 of an inch on another. Today they are all above ground, and selection of the best 2 will take place when I up pot them.

One even got her helmet off in the towel lol.

Yooo, careful with that, they really don’t need that much moisture.
A surge of mold and overnight they can be dead.
Let those babies breathe.

Thanks, the soil they are in is only surface moist, and I just misted the top and sides of the dome when I took the pic, never had a problem doing it this way, unless the temp drops drastically, and they damp off. Its 81F in there atm so it will dry up quite fast :+1:

Glad you got some more growing @Shadey.
I’ve just put a couple of them c99 x doc holiday into paper towels after reading up about the doc holiday having greenhouse seeds stardawg male as a parent. They will go in my small tent along with the peach tree I’ve got running. :+1:

I was wondering about the amount of soil you placed in the solo cups. I always fill mine up with some room at the top, but always looking to see other more experienced growers, and their approach to starting out seeds.
