Great Job. Awesome buck. Were you aware of it before the hunting season began?

I used to start in August trying to pattern them a bit before the season began. I’m guessing around a 160 score and a 4 or 5 year old based more on weight than his rack. It could be older. Bucks in this class are as smart as they come. Bow hunters know what I’m talking about. They have a 6th sense that defies explanation.

Superb . I would make a bunch into jerky in my smoker, save the loins and backstraps for steaks, and burg the rest. But that’s just me. Great job brother. Congrats.

That explains it. In canada is cross bow hunting fall under bow or gun? Does crossbow have its own category?

Bow is on it’s own. From October 1st until December 31st except for the one week that the shotgun Hunt is on.

7 out of 9 females. That’s a great ratio.

They will soon be time to impregnate.

These are ones that I saved from the garden after I tilled it this fall.

And these I saved today.

And a couple more that I saved from the garden. There are still about 50 down there.

That’s 55 total from the garden this year.

Looking good. I don’t have much going on at the moment, kinda focused on Perma frost and sundae smash. Down to 7 testers of Perma frost and 2 sundae smash. And a Couple clones , I’ll have to see what I have of yours that you have sent for next round :v:

That is just about exactly how I will butcher him. My hamburger/sausage maker grinds up to 200 lbs of meat per hour. I just set my camera up there 2 weeks ago and had a 6 point go by on it.

so crossbow falls into bow category? Shotguns you say not rifles is this all canada your just your area? In michgian you could deer hunt everywhere with a shotgun but only some counties allowed rifle hunting. Do you have same kinda thing?
