What an interesting way to grow my man. I grow in soil but find this way so fascinating. Took me so long to get this way dialed in but I’ve seen some incredible buds come from that style of growing. Did it take long to learn? Why did you chose this method, was it taught to you?
Hey HumblePie! How ya doin! When it comes to growing I cut
My teeth rite here on OverGrow. Back round 00. I wanted a high yielding system so I went with aeroponics. None of that sprinkle dinky shitt. Real aero. A member called Lothar gave me a couple links. One to a nasa study. And one to a Stanford study and I researched allot. I got really pretty good at it. I guess I came up with a bunch of shitt o my own too. But my wife got sick so I switched to DWC. It’s allot easier and the results aren’t that far off. I came up with a pretty cool rooting technique that I really like too. I skipp over the cube part and stick my cut’s directly into the net pot surrounded by hydroton. Works every time.
Yea, this is my comeback grow rite here. Did it from 2000 till 2015. I ran Sugar Shack from the reefer man till 09 and then DJ Shorts Blue Dream till 2015. I just enjoy the livin shitt outta this! And I can’t wait to taste that BD again. I’m also eager to taste the GP. I’ve never tryed it.
Here they are today. They don’t look much different than they did a minute ago, but they’re starting to develop a root system under themselves. Also I was finally able to give the one that hasn’t eaten yet 10 ml 326. I gave her 20 ml of h2o2 too.
Doing great brother and hope the same for you. I’m kinda clumsy so I just know I’d dump a bucket or two eventually lol. My buddy grows on an ebb and flow system and I’ve seen some incredible stuff come outta his room. Can’t wait to see how these pan out and you give a smoke report on that GP.
Sending good vibes to you and your wife my man.
Thanks HumblePie.
Here they are today. I had a little green in a gp bucket so I dumped 40 ml h2o2 in it . I also bumped up the other gp to 20 ml326. Then I bumped the 2 BD’s and the one GP up to 50 ml326.
They look well on their way.
Yea I think they’re out of the woods now. They were in pretty bad shape when I got them. I was finally able to top off my buckets. They were in such bad shape when I gottem that the roots were in the process of shutting down. They were too dryed out. If I hada just dunked them, they woulda suffocated. I think they autta be good from here. I guess I could treat them like normal cuts now. They just look a little worse for wear. They’re all at 50 ml 326 per bucket except for one GP that’s at 20 ml 326. Il be bumbing her up another 10ml 326 tomorrow.
And here they are today. I hit the 2 GPs with 40 ml h2o2 and I bumped up everything to aggressive strength 326(75ml), except for the one GP. She’s at 40 ml 326 now. So everything looks pretty good. I guess I can start vegging them like normal now!
They’re coming around now. You can see it. Nice job sticking with it.
Hell yea HumblePie! They’re starting to look better now that they have some roots under them and they’re eating.
Viva la Plants
I’ve never grown using this method and had a question. It seems there is quite a bit of light penetration to the root area, does that have a negative effect on the roots?
Hi LoveDaAutos. Some people say so but it never bothered me. I got a little green in 2 buckets but that came from Cloud City. I’m treating it with a bit of peroxide and they’ll be fine. Some folks will tell you different but I never had a problem with light in my root zones.
And here they are today. All things considered they’re doing pretty good. If ya look at the first post you can see they were on their last leg so after 3 weeks of convalescence I should be happy with this.
The 2 GP’s are both battling with an alge issue but I been working with it. Being it’s just the GP’s I’m willing to bet they came with it. I’m gonna give them another blast if h2o2 tomorrow or the day after. Il probably hit them with bout 75 ml per bucket. Il even squirt some rite on the roots with my dosing syringe while I do it too. I think they’ll like that.
Today I blasted them each with 80 ml h2o2 per bucket. I paid especially close attention to the GP’s and sprayed the roots directly. I actually held each GP in my hand and sprayed the dangling roots directly.
Just finished up downstairs. It’s too bad but I think I might end up loosing the GP’s. And I was really excited to try another flavor. I’m still gonna treat them but it don’t look too good. Il keep doing the h2o2 thing and all and if all elce fails Il cut them and clone them. I’m just so fukkin tired but Il try to keep up. I took a cup and mixed 1-2 h2o2 and water and dunked their roots in it a couple times before the lights went out.
The BD’s are coming along nice tho. They’re eating aggressive strength 326 and doing well. But it looks like I might have to flower out just BD’s the first time around. Damn. This really changes things around a lot. I was going to cut 2 clones off each one before I flowered them out. Now I can only flower out the BD’s. And only 2 of them. No problem. Mabey Il veg them a little longer to compensate. And hopefully next time Il get some GP’s in there too. I still think I can save the GP.
Here they are. The GP’s are on the left. The second one in is only eating at 40 ml 326 per 5 gallon. The end one is at aggressive strength.
So anybody lookin for clones, beware of Cloud City Clones. Shitt customer service, crappy shipping. And alge on the GP.
Dude, it happens. That one wasn’t worth your time or resources trust me. It would have only caused you problems at the worst time down the road so I see it as you dodged a bullet. You still have others that don’t seem to give a crap about green water so give 'em hell. When I baby things too much I lose control I’ve noticed
Yea. It’s just the 2 GP’s. The BD’s don’t have any alge. I never in my life had any alge.
Fukk. The green wants to spread into the BD buckets now. I plugged the extra holes in my buckets with pucks(many’s I had) and I got the day off tomorrow so I’m gonna remix all of my buckets with fresh FF326. I really gotta make this work. I’m changing my buckets out tomorrow.
So here they are. I just gavem a fresh nute change. I gavem each 75 ml FF326, 75 ml h2o2, and phed it down to bout 6.4. I bleached the livin shitt outta everything and I treated all the roots with several dunks in a 1/3 h2o2, 2/3 water solution before I puttem In their new buckets. I guess all I can do now is top off the buckets and hope they like it. If all elce fails, I guess I can always try to green them up a bit and clone them. Damn. I never had so much shitt.
I got home from work last night to this. It came out 3 days after a fresh nute change. My ph went up to 8 and all my roots turned mushey overnight. Even the ones that didn’t have issues just blew up. I may have to end up cutting them all as a last resort. Wtf is this and why? Does anybody recognize what the Fukk this is?
.It took 15 ml ph down to pull it back down to 6.4. I use gen hydro.
