I’ve been looking for a good breed of Indiana Bubblegum and am stuck between ordering some Fleur Du Mal or the Mosca Seeds also has two Indiana Bubblegum strains. Anyone have any experience with either?
believe that Mosca is the original breeder of Like to always get the original reeder of strain if possible
afaik, mosca seeds did not breed the bubblegum strain.
it’s much older … he worked with BG at some point, tho.
__
but now - while were at it - i am curious (too?):
DOES actually anyone know who did breed the BG a few decades ago?
was it in indiana? … or was only the selection made there ect. ect.
i love stuff like that . haha …
please bring on the history and let’s find the best combo *woot woot *
There is a bit of history of the IBG in the fleur de mal thread here, I don’t have time right this second to find it though…
It was all over Ohio, KY, Indiana area. So we’re all the amazing OG strains like Lemong G , which blackbird has currently.
I remember as a child in Illinois we had the Deathstar, Ohio Lemon G, Deathstar , Indiana Bubblegum and Dumpster. Those were the kill back then. Sadly few exist anymore as far as I know
They absolutely did not. Moscas first big claim to fame was reproducing Bros Grimm C99 in the early 2000’s. Bubblegum is much older.
@Baudelaire can probably provide more intel.
He owns the earlier referenced Fleur du Mal seedbank, and I fully trust his strain lineages.
CSI Humboldt has Indiana Bubblegum S1
@Bambam is finishing a Moscas right now and @FieldEffect is starting a FDM for outdoor right now.
The one I grew last year was an unknown breeder from a local nursery here.

I don’t know origins of Bubblegum other than its likely NL5 x Skunk 1.
Serious Seeds sold a sativa dominant version, and T,H, Seeds sold an indica version.
I’ve smoked both and found the Serious sativa one to be more euphoric and imho desirable of the two. And 12+ years ago it had a true pink bubblegum flavor.
FWIW, I seem to recall… Adam Dunn… probably… saying it was actually from Illinois despite everyone calling it Indiana Bubblegum (I think it was Illinois, not Ohio).
Have you grown this? Similar to the giant lime green OG dumpster buds?
Have you ran this?
No but I have a pack
Gonna grab one and try it

Fleur De Mal all the way.Baudelaire has amazing old school cultivars and he is constantly tinkering with them picking the best out if the best every time and keeping it pure. His Indiana bubblegum is some of the best I know of as gifted a 5 pack of his and mine smelled just like the bazooka Joe bubble I remembered when I was a kid extremely resinous and sticky with a knockout high all around good seed stock.
I posted this in the “Shit That Killed Elvis” thread about Silverback supposedly being the original breeder of that and IBG it’s the best origin story I’ve heard yet, lots of small details make sense like the BOEL connection to CA botanists etc:
This was Baud’s take on it, at the time:
Could also try getting a hold of bog bubble. I know someone who has a good amount left over from an open pollination @Animosity
