Thanks @Beerus for your kind words. It does seem to be a high yield-er and buds dense also.
About to start week 8 tomorrow. Pics actually from yesterday.

Just a fun seven and a half week, “Ice”, photo shoot. Also, pic of, “Blue Moon” in veg cabinet with an, “Ice”, seedling (4 more seeds haven’t popped yet). I cut seed buds last week. When seeds finish the hulls (and surrounding plant stuff) dies and turns yellow and will hold moisture and can easily lead to bud rot if dry part on leaves gets in close to stem for a length of time.
Pot loves fluorescent lights! Amazing what two $15 shop lights can do but have to put them within inches to do much good.
Blue Moon about to go 12/12 (got an over nitrogen (and over water) leaf hook going on). Also, a pic of two, “WW X BM X AK-48” waiting on sex and pic of one, “WW X BM X AK-48” also waiting on sex but transplanted anyway because was in very small pot (may be pulling up in few days).
Wow, I’m so excited! I ordered these from James Bean Company on Tuesday and just got them just now (like quick man!). Bodhi packs on sale for $60.00. I got the last, “Lavender Aura” (mainly bought for purple urkle). And picked up a, “jabba’s stash” (mainly for snow lotus) Gonna soak three, “Lavender”, right away! If I had room I would do them all at once and pick the best pheno for breeding but limited space at this time.
Pic of four, “Ice”, seedlings. Transplanted WW X BM X AK-48 turned out female and other two males. Blue Moon in 12/12 waiting on sex.
Nice! Jabbas Stash has been on my wish list for a while.
Thanks @ReikoX! Almost all the pics I have seen of, “Bodhi”, look very nice and exotic. Very excited about growing some Bodhi. Especially since the 12-14 week Maui of days gone by no longer available…only approximately 8 week strains available now and they really don’t compare (at least not what I got from same breeder/seedbank that I got Maui from 20 years ago).
So looking for a new fav now (may try that tropical breeder from Hawaii next time for some Hawaiian but Bodhi for now).
Update: Last day of week 8 and no amber…would love to see this go another lumpy/foxtail week or so…lol (buddage is buddage!). Notice cold nights makes for some purple leaves.
Also, pics of, “Ice”, seedlings and pic of female WW X BM X AK-48 and pic of small, “Blue Moon”, (waiting on sex) and a Coleus I started from a cutting gonna give away as a gift soon.
Oh ya, all three of my Bodhi seeds popped and are in soil already. Seeds were a little small (size doesn’t really matter with seeds (some strains just put out small seeds) although larger seeds may have more storehouse for seedling when sprouts) so decided to stick em in soil right away but what a nice surprise when seeds pop overnight! Nothing like I have just been through with my other seeds I ordered from other places so very happy.
I think you’ll really like the genetics from bodhi. if you’re looking for something more sativa, you might want to check out something like this colombian red x 1970s production afghani:
http://greatlakesgenetics.com/soar-columbia-red-x-omg-supernatural-selections.html
their ‘neirika seed trust’ pure landraces are also great if you can find them. ‘supernatural selections’ and ‘neirika seed trust’ strains are usually limited releases with only a handful of packs going to each seed bank. the only real drawback with bodhi is that there are no descriptions, and sometimes no clear explanation of what the genetics are, so you need to hunt the information down on forums and podcasts.
Wow, that looks nice. Used to love Colombian Red (and Gold).
This last summer I picked up an exceptionally nice swag (Mexican sativa)…lime green with bunch of red hairs I need to grow out and cross with something (wish I knew what part of Mexico it came from).
I looked at, “GreatLakegenetics”, and almost bought from them. Next time!
Definitely need to keep my eye out for those, “neirika seed trust”
Thanks for info @zephyr!
Three days from start of week ten, “Ice”. About 1-3% amber trichs…I like about 10-15%. Gotta pull it out to check so took some pics. Hope I don’t snap stem at base hauling it around. Likely check it on Monday the 22nd of October.
Blue Moon showed white hairs and I’m gonna transplant it this morning. Kinda excited about this blue moon as already putting off a strong smell already.
Have two, “Bodhi”, Lavender Aura popped and above surface with leaves.
Parting shots of, “Ice”, day 1 of week 10. Funny how some sugar leaves amber throughout right next to bud part with little amber.
My own seed of, “WW X BM X AK-48”, dropped a pollen sac at approx. week two! Yikes (this ain’t the old days maybe I shouldn’t give em 24 dark after 30 days 24hr light before 12/12)! I did burn it with a light on some leaves also so maybe stressed it that way.
Anyway, glad I caught it early and chopped it directly! Having the hardest time growing that one for some reason. My first attempt were all males. I haven’t given up on it yet though.
All my, “pollen chucking”, has for the most part depended upon what males/females came around together within an approximate six month period (most of my pollen is maybe 10% viable by then so I try and use it up but fridge isn’t good for moisture so I keep in a cool dark place).
I have been able to match male/female for White Widow (have two other breeders WW still need to pop…like quick) and also this, “Ice”, I’m about chop already have bunch of seeds made (and seedlings just transplanted…pics next time). And will have, “Blue Moon”, as already have BM pollen.
I just thoroughly misted, “Blue Moon”, and set in front of fan in front of veg cab to dry (for fear of the dreaded, “HERMIE”, having sent a pollen into a white hair (very few white hairs fortunately).
If my two, “Bodhi”, Lav Aura are both females then I will take clones and plant the rest of the seeds and get a male for pollen collection. If they are both male and are not noticeably different pheno then will collect pollen from better looking of the two (and plant more seeds for female). If they are male/female then I’m set.
Oh, also transplanted in veg cab now are three, “Ice”, seedlings that were mainly being grown for seed stock for Ice X Crystal and, “Ice”, times my WW X BM X AK-48 pollen hopefully if can get two females. Was using small pots but maybe can go larger now that have more room. Will have to see what I want to do as have those WW seeds need to pop soon (one is Soma I think).
The WW seeds I was able to make came from MNSL so might be old Nirvana strain but not sure. This, “Ice”, strain came from MNSL also and their shipping etc. good but germination rate definitely not good for me (maybe I did something wrong though?).
All my, “Seedsman”, gear did excellent (even the freebies) so some day after some, “American”, breeder fun will likely still try and pick up a few old strains to play with (maybe?).
Wow, nice chunky buds!
Thanks @ReikoX really appreciate your kind words.
Update on seedlings etc.
This is pic of my two Bodhi, “Lavender Aura”, seedlings. One started as a mutant but looks like may be alright. Was slow to grow and saw what looked like dark spots (damping off?) but under a magnify glass I saw the spots were purple speckles so maybe a, “Purple Urkle”, pheno throw off?
Next are three, “Ice”, (from my own seeds) at almost two weeks. They have been topped once each.
Here is a pic of, “Blue Moon”, at a week and a half since appearance of white hair. Hope it stretches more!
Here are some, “ice”, after the chop pics. The three two foot colas hung for two days and decided humidity too high so better manicure some as buds tightly wrapped around cola and could mold.
I always hang my plants while I trim and find I can take them apart one stem at a time and only touch the stem while trimming never actually touching the bud part.
I separate the smaller buds into a separate paper bag because they will dry quicker than larger buds. I also separate the larger buds into two bags so they are not packed on top of each other so much (they like to stick together).
Some pics of after initial hanging before the trim…
Three days shy of three weeks on, “Blue Moon”, which has stretched some nicely. “Ice” waiting on sex. Veg cab has two, “Ice”, and two Bodhi (smaller ones) Lavender Aura.
Marijuana pics…we all love marijuana pics…
Blue Moon just a few days shy of one month since flip (filling in nicely). “Two cola”, Ice at one week since appearance of first white hair. The, “Ice”, I will leave in a small pot to keep it small as is mostly for seed stock.
The other, “Ice”, has yet to show sex (had another that did show male yesterday). Also waiting on sex for Bodhi, “Lavender Aura,” (just placed in 12/12 yesterday because it was the mutant and has been topped for 4 main colas already).
Bodhi, “Lavender Aura”, in veg will get final top today or tomorrow and ready for, “flip”, in a week (giving it 4 weeks veg at 24hr light). Don’t really have a good reason why I put the other in at 3 weeks veg but I did (impatient I think).
I have some, “Greenpoint”, seeds on the way so excited about that. They are discontinuing a bunch of seed packs (half price) and so I grabbed several packs along with Veteran’s day 30% discount this last weekend and with shipping and all still only cost me around $35 a pack.
I’m dreaming of some of the crosses I can get between, “Bodhi”, and “Greenpoint”, seeds (and maybe throw in a European strain or two).
Nice journal.
