Mike, You’re good to go on your normal routines…
Defoliation is a necessary procedure, and most growers will get rid of all that lower growth at your stage of bloom.
I guess the thing that drives me crazy is when I see ‘lollypoping’ in flower stage!
You spend all this money on nutrients to develop a beautiful canopy and then strip all the leaves off as your buds are developing…WTH? It’s the nutrient stored in the leaves that are translocated to the bud during development!!! IDK, to each their own, but it still drives me crazy!!!
You can do your defoliation without regard to your BBP application schedule…
Heres my full tent of stinky Island Sweet Skunk. 2 weeks into the flower cycle. Incredible growth. Could this be partly BBP staring back at me? Looks like the beginning of some Mule Tool.
So today is 2 weeks into flower cycle. According to Bob @BudBusterPro I do a 4ml/8oz application. at lights out this evening. These ISS girls are very nice plants, I will say that. Biased opinion, lol
Thanks for saying so. They are awesome if I do say so myself.
I have been trying to pic the brain of the guy I got the seeds from. All he told me was that it was Island Sweet Skunk, and that he has had these seeds for probably 8-10 years. And that it was some of the best smoke he had ever grown.
Here are my plants that just got put into flower.
In the back left is BOG Sour Strawberry. Back right is Skywalker. Front two are White Cherry Truffle.
Starting to pick up some steam.
This little girl is a FogDog I got from @corey remember him?
Shes about 3 feet tall and pretty much nothing but buds. I never did any training or anything. Just feed and water. I should get a lid off that, huh?
And this little darlin is a Blueberry auto from @Alaskagrown
She started slow, but look at all the bud sites. She is about 3 1/2 feet tall. I love her. Little lanky biotch.
Beautiful mate nice selection too! Where did you get the Sour strawberry from? That’s one I’ve always wanted to try for years! I’ll be following along for sure brother
When i first signed on here, many moons ago, brother @DougDawson graced me with three seeds. I finally got around to popping them and got one real survivor. I am trying to clone some cutting right now but after two weeks in beer cups, i still see no roots. All my other cuttings this run have made successful clones. Except the one i wanted two girls from to make feminized seed to keep for myself. Hopefully they with not fail.
Actually I was wanting to reverse a female and get some pollen to make some more beans. I have cuttings. They are just slow to get going. I did the ‘Tug’ test and gently pulled up on the stem. I felt a little resistance there so I am going to continue trying these cuz they come from a pretty nice plant. Have not tried the smoke, but if its good, I will have sonmething to work with .
If not, I will have something to add to the compost bin.
