Nice! She’s a beauty!
What are the trichs looking like? Any amber?

Trikes are a little clear. Mostly cloudy. Maybe 10% amber. They are smelling really spicy, tropical smells. And strong. With no wind you can smell them 10 yards away.

That sounds amazing. I’m glad to see that the weather is cooperating.

No it just wilted from the top. It was in the corner and was not getting any bubbles. Small air stones. Gonna get some better ones for my next try.

Were the stems out of the water?

Yes. I was thinking they need just bubble moisture. Is this incorrect?

Yes Joe, his is like mine bubbles burst splashing the stems. he had one clone not getting splashed.

Yes, Joe does it a bit different.

Yah I always have my clones stems in the water. I don’t need to rely on splashes of water.

It does make sense. But would that not promote rotting on the stems?

He uses a pump that constantly moves water around. Not an air pump.
I think.

heh heh I use an air pump with an airline T on the end and a stainless steel nut to weigh it down. The stems will only rot if opportunistic pathogens take over. So usually I keep the water at 18C and don’t add anything until I see root nodes forming.

There’s my fancy air stone too. I use that setup all through my DWC system.

My bad, thought for some reason it wasn’t an air pump. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Yah well, you don’t really need many bubbles, just as long as the water is cool and it moves around. Oxygen depletes on the “inverse square” law from the source. heh heh look that phrase up, it’s very informative. Oxygen can penetrate about 4cm/2inches of water, so as long as you keep exposing new surface area to the air, you should be able to reach saturation.

Sound like science. Lol
All I know is what I do works for me. I’ve never lost a clone in my bubbler.
Whatever works. :+1:

I do agree here. Whatever is your method is the one that works for you.
I use Diatomaceous Earth to dust for fungus gnats. DUST. There are those here that swear it is ineffective and turns into concrete. I don’t care. I feel it works and that’s all that matters. Now, if it was NOT effective I would love to try something different. But always seems to work for me and I haven’t had a gnat infestation in years. So there’s that.

Think it’s more when left in a dry state it works but those that top water or saturate the top of their pots then it just turns to mud.
