Looking great @BigMike55!
You must have a perpetual smile on your face man.
Yeah, it’s all working good for me right now.
But hang tight, I still have a lot of time to screw things up! Hehe. Fingers crossed tho.
She is a beast!
Wait until she starts flowering………
That plant is out of control bigmike… never mind “should have brought a bigger boat” …should have brought a bigger tent!!!
Actually I shoulda put her into flower about 2-3 weeks earlier. Hawhaw. @Oldjoints told me. But would I listen to him??? Why, hell no.
She will be a little demanding now:
That is one INSANE grow you have going on there! Looks so primal right from the jurassic period! I’ve MOVED my light close amd NO ill effects… actually the opposite! The buds are fattening bothe uppers, but especially the lowers! Great advice for me pal!
Good deal bruh. Glad to pass some useful info.
Hell, she’s already very demanding. It gets worse??? I better go buy some nutes.
What’s funny is when I read about this strain it said I would need a VERY light feed regimen.
At no point did I find that to be the case. She responds well to heavy feeds without even tip burn.
But as I told you before privately, push your plant until a slight tip burn and then back off a tad. Now you know it’s limits and can proceed with a good regimen.
Interesting, so them being started/sprayed at the same time (rather than the three week delay) seems to have zero impact on your project. Good to know, I’m tired of the delay planting hehe. Looks awesome as always @BigMike55 !!!
Edit - on a side note, and this is to anyone who might know - how late into flowering can you apply STS and successfully make seeds?
Not really sure about ‘how late’… Everything I’ve seen/read says start spraying STS when you flip. Also, start spraying around 3 weeks before you flip the plant(s) you intend to spray. I can say the seeds take at least 5 weeks to mature. Spraying the STS doesn’t make your seeds though cuz, that’s how you get the pollen to use on other plants to make the seeds. The pollen, if stored properly, can last for quite awhile. So you can ‘start’ or flip the ones you intend to pollinate any time after you have pollen.
edit… That last is for selective pollination, if you’re planning on just putting the STS treated plant in with some others to naturally pollinate. I’d use that 3week rule
Thanks @JohnnyPotseed I was just curious if anyone has had success reversing & pollinating a few weeks into flower. Just the math and time constraints makes it clear you have to start any reversal prior to or within the first couple weeks. Week 5 flower, [[3 week reversal process]] takes us to week 8 pollination. Possible - but highly apt to very few seeds and would be like running a car till the wheels fall off, as the plant would be mostly dead by week 13/14 when the seeds would be mature. Not impossible, but surly not a gambit I’m looking for, I have enough issues HAHAHAAH.
Edit - which is why I assume you don’t get a ton of seeds from selfing a plant. You’ll get some, but not like you would an open pollination.
@BigMike55 Did you stagger your STS plants three weeks? From what I saw you sprayed at flip, both plants at the same stage.
I began spraying two weeks before flipping. Then flipped on the same day as the one planned for seeds. I wish I had staggered the flip and given the she-he time to create more pollen earlier to hit the right spot in the girls buds development.
Yeah I actually started spraying the shemale about a week or so before setting 12/12. But the one staying female had not started showing any female parts when I was spraying the shemale. For a couple weeks. Same way I did the one I did with CS. It worked well.
Hey @BigMike55 someone has asked me about the ISS and I can’t answer them lol Is the ISS you’re running the Federation or Next Generation?
