This is gonna be epic cuz! Looks like a crapload of beans in your future! lol But… you know, when the real work begins, lol…
My fingers are getting ‘sympathy pains’! A lot of seed shucking in store.

Indeed, but it’s a labor of love. Just a necessary evil. I only do it once in a while so it’s not that big a deal.
I’m just glad that the project looks like it will probably pay off. With a nice pile of seeds for my friends. And a handful for myself.
I really enjoyed the project tho. And will probably do another just like it, when I find a real keeper again.
Oh. And for folks wanting to reverse a plant, I can’t stress the difference in ease of application. STS is MUCH better than CS. Less labor. Works like a charm. I got way more pollen sacks using the STS. I mean, look at the pics of those bigassed Shemale Flower Heads. Incredible!

This Sheelavathi is uncontrollable. And thirsty. Always. I gave her nutes yesterday afternoon until it ran off and the soil is dry again.

And a little droopy. On the leaves.

Incredible right?

What a frickin beast you have created.

It really is. It’s like a Jurassic jungle in there. And she’s taking her sweet time about stacking any real buds. Hope she picks up in that regard. Maybe I just don’t know what to expect, since she’s my first true landrace sativa.

You are going to have to set up a drip system or water 2 times a day.
Would you say this is a primarily outside plant? lol

No. Not necessarily. I believe if you put one (no more than two) of here in a 4x4 tent with a Scrog at about 2 1/2 to 3 feet you would be ok. She would be a tree outside. Heck, she’s a tree, INSIDE. I’m going to put one of her clones in the ground right after frost is over. And see what she does. I have dug a big hole in the yard and filled it with a lot of old used Happy Frog Soil and a 50 lb bag of HF soil amendments.
The only thing I fear is not being able to bring her to harvest if we have an early winter next time.

I’m looking forward to seeing that tree! You should make a walking stick out of the thing when you harvest. I’ve seen some beautiful marijuana plant walking sticks.
Check these out.

I would say yes to that. I doubt many in India are growing that strain indoor. I know it is an outside strain grown in India for commercial use in India and grown outdoors in that region.
You won’t really find it here in the U.S. or most of Europe for that matter. Any strain can be grown indoor but finishing time will definatly be different when growing an outdoor strain indoors. The best I could find about the Sheelavathi finishing time was 13-14 weeks but I don’t know if that was based on it being grown outdoor or indoor. @BigMike55 is being the Guinea pig in that regard because I didn’t let the plants I grew finish. When the seeds were done I cut the plants down.

I agree that she SHOULD be grown outdoors. I still think though, if you put her into flower soon enough and use a SCROG to control her, you could be surprised at the amount of buds you create. Certainly not near the tree it get outside, though.

Absolutely! I agree! I’ll flip mine at two weeks or five inches whichever comes first. lol

Isn’t this true with landrace strains tho, in general. Better to grow outside in a similar climate as they grew in their homeland?

Absolutely true……
But these cannabis plants adapt fast, so a few generations down the road and it changes.
