Bitcoin and virtual cryptocurrencies

There are bitcoin ATMs all over the place, and platforms like local bitcoins where you can meet people in person to exchange. According to this bitcoin ATM site, there are some bitcoin ATMs in Montreal you can go to with cash, for example > https://branches.bitcoindepot.com/

thx my friend!

I’ve just been checking them out myself and found a whole bunch of btc atm. I will just need to get cash.
and to be honest I am going to be closing some bank accounts except my business account - and leaving only enough to cover pre auths / remittances.

done with these grimey fucks.

my money will no longer sit in the banks digital computer.

my business bank acct has a daily spend limit and weekly limit… meaning I can’t pay a commercial supply account without waiting a 8 day period - and need to pay 10-13 #days before statement due date.

I will be doing that tomorrow!

in qc atm but will be in mtl.

Coinbase sucks. There are other exchanges, localbitcoins was mentioned. What was their reason for denying you? Most exchanges you do an initial kyc request and then they let you do whatever you want. Cash through the mail or meetup seem like the best idea. The atm’s charge something like 30%. You might like this if it hasn’t been posted already:

I don’t know about how much it varies but litecoin transfer fees are light that’s one of its advantages. If you’re going to hold it for a while move it to your wallet. If you’re going to trade soon leave it on Coinbase. I might get some too, that will make the price go straight down…

you can set up recurring buys at Swan - set it and forget it. I don’t think about anything, it just does it once a week, same time, same day, same amount withdrawn… Just mindless DCA stacking and I"m free :bird:

I didn’t get the concept of the stocks making you money only when you sell lol

Don’t use Coinbase to buy IMO.
Coinbase charges fees to buy and it’s free to buy on Robinhood.
Over time they will add up.

There is always a fee for sending (processing fee for using the network), but there doesn’t have to be a fee for buying. It’s the main reason I got away from Coinbase.

Oh ok makes sense…

Probably wouldn’t mess with a VPN in this case. To transfer out they need photo ID so coins might get stuck.

Weird Coinbase is in Canada but RH isn’t…

FOREX is available.

im sure if you can trade crypto on there.

they must have gotten onthe wrong side of Comrade Trudeau

Neat.

Litecoin is back up to $94. Looks like some people here made some money. I never bought so missed the boat but it’s moving around a lot. It seems to correlate with the stock market. Not just ltc.

I don’t know enough to make any accurate assumptions or guesses to what’s happening.

I can hope that it’s an opportunity to those waiting to buy in & not down ward trend.

wish I knew more@ I read everything I could…as for interpreting - well it’s in and out of my head just as quick.

nothing to gamble ones needed Savings with that’s for sure .

interested to see what happens !

I’ll try and find some more detailed discussion online about this

Everything I’ve read says the halving will make litecoin go up and that this enthusiasm was getting the whales to do something. I’m sure no one knows. Now might be a good time to buy but also it might go down more. Hard to tell. It’s up 42 cents right now.
