The Old School Mango Haze ended up as great smoke. It is an excellent representation of sativa effects in the auto format. I managed to make just a couple of flips of seeds with the small amount of zamaldelica express pollen that I had saved…enough to try them again in a cross. Next up, AKBB Boel x Dwarf Oaxacan. 4/4 with tails this AM. Lets go!!!

I have a question I’m hoping you could help with .
Should I be starting auto seeds in their final home or can I transplant them after starting them in cups?

@Vagabond_Windy , I always start in solos and up pot to 1/2 gallon nursery bags. A light mix with plenty of drainage works best. I feel like stunting happens when the mix is too dense and holding too much water. I use from 1/3-1/2 perlite in fairly chunky coco and have not had stunting issues at all.

Awesome man! I’m pretty smalltime here, but happy to have some company. The title says mostly autos, but currently everything running are photos. I tend to do some longer running stuff over the winter here so I have HIGH hopes for these Oaxacan!

Im just a little guy as well. Just trying to get my skills a bit more fine tuned. Im mostly photo but have run a few grows of autos. The last auto I grew were Skittlez & Lsd-25 from Fastbuds and Duban poison from Dutch passion. I usually veg for 6mths than flip but trying to sharpen the learning curve so paying attention to timelines and everything where Ive been a relaxed grower as Im away for work alot. Appreciate you answering the uppotting question just now as it was on my mind.
I’ve only direct sowed into the forever pot with auto. Are you watching for the roots to start poking out the bottom of the smaller container before you move upto the next size (whats the indicator you use?)

Oh hey, good clarifying question. Most of the autos that I’ve seen start flowering at roughly three weeks from sprout. I like them to be transplanted before that three week mark.

Thanks for that also. Huge potential with auto if run right they dont skip a beat on the growth.
Both the Durban and Lsd-25 both hit 3-1/2’ when they finished and the Skittlez with the lst only grew 15" tall but produced dense flower but super racey effects. My older brother smoked it the first time and ended up locking himself in his house as he thought the police was after him.
I laughed when i heard the story from my mom in conversation. She said she had to talk him down a bit as she just happen to be on the phone with him when he was smoking it.

This auto in a 5 gal fabric. Im sure if she was a auto would have been larger. This was my first plant grown after a long long hiatus from the canna world. I stopped growing in 2005 and started back up in 2020 so was having to relearn everything.
Sorry not trying to hijack your thread I’ll keep my pictures and things for my grow journal.
