Looking good, keep up the good work!! You have anything going outside this summer, curious what folks are planting around me? I’m going to try a Frankenstein, Willie Nelson, White Rhino and Blue Dream.

Well 25 days from seed and I think it is time to up pot these to 3L pots, they seem to need the space.
I’m going to leave them in the 3L pots and grow them out in those.
Hoping in a week or 2 I will be able to pull some clones off these so I can find out what’s what and be ready to pick and setup the next round of seeds from these.

Looking healthy :)They look pretty uniform too, wonder how that’ll change later.

Yeah they are all looking pretty uniform, a couple stand out as a bit taller and a bit more vigorous and I’m thinking they are going to be males.
It’s crazy because last night there were definitely 3 that were taller and bigger but now this morning it seems the rest have caught up a bit.

My question is, if I’m going to be topping them  cause that will need to happen soon. My thought was to not top them to see their full structure, but also don’t want them to get out of control height wise

They’re looking great! Nice and healthy. My advice would be wait till they show sex before topping, if you care to know which ones are which sooner than later. Because topping can slow down the sexing process (in my experience). If you don’t mind and are going to treat them all equally anyway then yes topping sooner-ish is better, usually around the 5th node, is what I do.

To top or not is a more nebulous question. Sometimes I like to run new plants untopped to see their natural structure. But sometimes topping can encourage them to branch more so you can get nice early clones, and can also help with keeping them shorter overall. LST is a good middle ground if you can’t make up your mind.

That’s always the tough choice. For selection, better to touch them the least possible. It’s possible to play with the pot size to stunt them a bit during the stretch if height is an issue. Wait a bit more before up potting them. Like described in upstate’s small sativa thread. But it also depends if you want to select for topping response

Good catch about the topping timing HobbyCraft!

Great info guys… yeah my thought behind the topping is kinda to do with clones, and not really too much on height as they got plenty of room, however I don’t want the light to have to get too far away.

I think I’ve decided on not topping and just letting them grow.

As for up potting them, I can usually judge what my roots are gonna be before I up pot, and I do not want them to get too many roots packing into the solo cup, once I start getting roots coming out the drain holes in the cups, it is about a week and then I need to up pot. I want to stay away from getting root bound and want them to root stretch as much as possible before the roots start taking over the whole pot. Some times if I wait I get leaf twist or growth slows down.

Indeed the more roots the better. Was just pointing out a way to slow the growth during the stretch by playing with root bounding. Looking forward to see what they’ll do in flower anyway.

The Dream drifter I made using @Tracker 's Dream6 is probably my favorite cross I’ve made yet.

I’m a big fan of BD and also big lemon head terp chaser. You have the best of both world going on in these. Stoked to see what they turn out!

Keep up the great work brotha :mechanical_arm: :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:
