Blue Moonshine - Where did it go?!

Whichever one smokes better.
Bm was more the indica, broad leaf, hash plant/high resin type, in its main expression.

Recap as I’m cruising through week 8 of my Blue Moonshine pheno hunt.

#8 threw balls early, then nanners late. I tossed all the clones.

#4 (female) and #7 (male) are identical oddballs. Long internodes, much smaller flowers, smells like pine needles. I don’t like it. It’s not Thai and I’m not sure how or why these are leaking out of a pack of BM.

#5 and #1 are both purple and frosty. #2, #3 and #6 are more green. These have all been exposed to low temps so I doubt the greener ones will purple much, if at all. All are dense, multi-topped.

So far my favorite is #1, followed by #5. Here is a picture of the #1 pheno:

I’m curious of your source of BM seeds? Mine came from a trade I made with Dirty Jim (Heime Cheeba) you can PM if you don’t want it to be public info

They are from a private grower on icmag. I might have even gotten them from a server fund listing for seedbay. Gotta be almost a decade ago now.

Edit - didnt realize this thread was in the trading section haha my fault lads wasn’t trying to lead anyone on!

@SCJedi
The anomaly in your BM seeds has me wondering if its the Bluemoon x Berry Juice that was going around ICMag around 2012-ish.
I loved that line, even with the NL-like pine that I didnt like.

I kept clones alive the entire run until the end when I accidentally overwatered the #1 pheno. I think that #1 and #5 were the two nicest indica phenos. I still have #2 - #8 + the runt.

I was really curious about #4 which is the one with longer internodes. I will find out more about what it is like as a buddy took a sample to smoke this afternoon. It burned right away so is SUPER sensitive to NPK and may have done fine with plain water, or very very light food. It reeks of pine and fades tropical. Buds are about the size of a thumb tip. I took it 73 days and the dad that I have (#7) has an identical structure.

Looking amazing!

The original Blue Moonshine came form this happening :

  1. Many moonshiners got busted and stills destroyed
  2. then (moonshiners) started growing instead of making moonshine
  3. hence “BlueMoonshine” is blueberry x HTAF

Some interesting facts:

  1. look for 1996 Kentucky skunk Line
  2. 1979 Christmas Skunk

Swami might have Blue Moonshine

I’ve never had pure bubbashine but sunshine daydream (a bubbashine cross) is one of my all-time favorites, and the description of bubbashine sounds right up my alley. It’s why I originally ordered sunshine daydream - because of Bodhi’s description of bubbashine. lol

Right now I am working on a sunshine daydream f1 reproduction. So far I have 7 different f1 females and 7 different f1 males. Plus I have 12 more f1 sunshine daydream seeds yet to sprout. I am planning to do an open pollination with all 26 (assuming all 12 seeds sprout).

One of my goals is to find a bubbashine pheno (hopefully in the f1’s) then do some selective breeding with it.

Anyway, just wanted to say that if you want any clones from any (or all) of the f1 sunshine daydream plants just let me know!

If I can contribute in any way to you remaking bubbashine, I’d love to help!
