Bodhi Guide - Seed and Strain Discussion (Part 1)

I find if I try to re veg in the same pots I have a hard time getting them to switch. So I always up pot before, cut the top half of the plant then bump the lights back up to 18hrs …
great pics as usual

Curious what kind of smells are coming from that Red Eye Jedi? Still have 8 beans in that pack left, popped it previously and they were all males!

Cheers, looks great!

It’s really hard for me to describe smells. A ton of cannabis smells “rubbery” to me , some have different kinds of rubber smells but that’s a background I’m getting on this. The REJ is a bit sweeter / candy smelling than the others. Maybe orange peel aroma too. Smells good regardless and similar to how I remember my REJ last round smelling. We’re around day 45-46 right now so smells are bound to change.

Keep me in mind. I’m actually looking for a very very rubbery and fuely little beast. It’d be a fun creation. :small_airplane:

I’ll split it if I can and someone wants to! @BudWhisperer

How come you’re not gonna grow them? And why are you hawking a half-pack of it here?

I’m not feeling like growing a heavy indica right now. In more of a daytime sativa mood atm.

Because Jager Hashplant are sold out most places (Headiegardens has 1 pack left), and Here in the Bodhi thread, folks might appreciate access to getting a 1/2 pack. Not everyone needs 12 seeds of a strain.

here in oregon jager is a special quick finishing dark colored outdoor hindu kush cut with a minty herbal anise smell. I have seen whole fields of that stuff.

a lot of the outdoor cash crops here that get processed into isolates or co2 extraction for flavored vape cartridges are actually jager.

I’m pretty sure that’s the jager in this hybrid?

Bodhi never specified lineage for Jager HP.
Thank you @zephyr and @Dirt_Wizard both for your knowledge of Jager.

My research led me to think it’s a renaming of Purple Kush. Because back then, PK had saturated the medical weed market. So 2 budtenders were at a bar and thought Jager a fitting name.

It’s supposed to be either a selected cut or hybrid of the Purple Hindu Kush from the old lady in Millerville that Caleb uses as well, from what I’ve read, there’s a great description on RIU Bodhi thread in response to a question from @lambchopedd:

And this too from the CSI thread:

Sounds lovely. I know it’s pretty hard on the senses to really try and nail down some of these smells…puts your nose to the test lol.

So speakeasy is renaming Bodhi’s strains now? “Strain name on pack is Spring Break”…maybe because that’s what Bodhi named it? SMH. :man_facepalming:

Pretty sure this isn’t Speakeasy renaming it but rather a labeling error.

Yeah, we were talking about that Jager on the initial Bodhi thread a couple years back. How dare you forget?!? Haha. I like that one (the Jager, never tried Bodhi’s hybrid). A buddy of mine has a friend who, like you said, grows a ton of it in southern Oregon, definitely smells like Jager/anise etc etc. Good high, too. I didn’t find it to be “Indica”-type smoke.

I remember Bodhi spelled it “Yeager” on a tester list he sent out like six years ago, thought it was in reference to Chuck Yeager or something haha, like it’s “astronaut weed,” fly you to the moon high haha.

yeah I realized as I was typing it that I had posted this almost word for word several years ago.

maybe I should have picked up a pack of that stuff just because I know it’s a reliable finisher outdoors here. could have been useful. it seems so common here I didn’t really think about it, but I’m not seeing that cut in dispensaries much anymore. oh well haha.

@Dirt_Wizard that “southern oregon purple hindu kush” description is right on.
I get what that guy is saying about the berry and citrus notes, but I think that’s less prominent.

that slight evaporating essential oil or alcohol feel of the smell is a better way to characterize it.
I think that’s what actually makes the cut unique; a lot of stuff has similar fruity notes.

I know you (like i am) are a medical weed consumer, so DM me your info and Monday i’ll send you the 6 Jager Hashplant seeds i have left for free.

I’m getting the same from REJ. Sweet citrus lavender on many of them, has me wondering if he accidentally packed up a wookie 7 cross by accident!
