Sky Lotus (Skywalker OG x Snow Lotus)
Grown in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and fed purified water with a Dr.Earth top dress at start of flowering. Pulled at day 60, the terpenes are dank earth and slightly sweet vanilla hash, not much fuel on this phenotype but that’s OK, it is not lacking flavor whatsoever. It’s a perfect evening smoke, slows things down and creates a care-free mindset while allowing you to function (potency 8/10). Very resinous and gummy, would probably be a good strain for extracts but I’m a flower guy and I enjoy it just the way it is. I probably wouldn’t call this pheno a “keeper”, but I’ve found keepers of other females that were spectacular. All in all a great variety that is worth anyone’s time.

I haven’t read that discussion, it’s interesting to speculate about stuff like this.
but in general when people start coming out with new lineages and backstories 10 years later, I always stick with the original story that was associated with the cut when people were actually growing buying and selling it.
Even if that story is incomplete. Honestly in most cases an incomplete story is more believable than a story that suddenly becomes hyper-specific 10 years later.
I can almost never reconcile firsthand experience with the new story, the new story is usually impossible to verify, and if nothing else, at least I’m consistent haha.
also before legalization the prop 215 medical collectives were a tight knit community of growers patients and farmers, there wasn’t such a long game of telephone between the source of a cut and the person growing or smoking it. It felt a lot more reliable than internet info. if you were buying from someone, they genuinely wanted you to know about the meds you were getting. The more accurate information they could give you, the more likely you were going to be able to get the right meds for your needs and be a reliable customer for that collective.
(There wasn’t as much ‘flavor of the month’ stuff in the collectives, it was more about finding the strains / cuts that worked for patients, and then offering a consistent supply of the meds that patients knew worked for their needs.)

A note on Zap - around day 30 one of the three had a good amount of balls, plucked them and noticed seeds forming on one bud. Last night, day 35, saw visible pollen and more hidden balls, so it was culled. Found one set of nanners on my favorite pheno, plucked them, hoping that’s it for that one. The other hasn’t had intersex issues yet, but is a picky one with some fading leaves and such. These seem pretty temperamental, not a huge surprise I’d read of intersex issues with Zap already… kind of expected with Thai / Vietnamese in the mix. Hoping the remaining two stay steady enough, they smell really nice - pungent lemony citrus with some musky funk. My favorite pheno is pretty darn frosty too.

Haha sounds interesting - I read somewhere the big sur isn’t super smelly and the a1 is dominant in the cross. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the bud / high for holy hand grenade.

@9.5weeks. Getting chopped today. I’ll update on smells when I’m not sick
3 out of the 4 Endor Score have this perfect structure that makes trimming a breeze. Dense nuggets leading up to the cola with minimal leaves in the way

These will be getting the chop today. The first 2 are field trip phenos. The 2nd has more of a bubbashine look and structure, stout little bastard. Then there’s a 90’s OG cut I was given by someone. I keep telling myself maybe run it longer and see if they pack on frost but trichomes are about 15% amber on them which is where I like things.
