The way that I do it is I pay Bryant Mason and he makes a form that I can mail into Logan Labs. I print the form here and mail it from my house. The reason to do this is because the tests are tricky to order. For instance, if you are using soilless medium, then you will have to ask them to weigh the scoop instead of using their standard premeasured scoop. Ground soil will weigh 2g per scoop, but soilless will weigh a lot less and skew the results. In other words, it’s very tricky to order the right test from Logan Labs and able to read the results w/o a college degree…
Hey Neb,
This is almost the exact setup I am going to use for my seed producing space. Since the goal of this space will be seed production and sexing of plants I need to come up with a strategy that works best for me and that purpose. My main garden space already takes up most of my time so this extra space I need to make it as set it and forget it as possible. With a top feed system you have to worry about the irrigation system and dripper assemblies especially when moving plants around. So flood and drain seemed like the simplest system to go with here. When I move the plants around to separate the boys and girls I will just need to move the pot and drop it in its new location and boom I am done. No need to reconnect irrigation drippers or worry about turning on and off water supply runs for pot locations no longer in use.
Plus I need to be able to house as many plants in this extra space as possible so density of plants in the given footprint is a priority. So I will be doing basically a sog as well with very little veg time. I know I am a lazy gardener so I need to stack the deck as much as possible to guarantee success lol.
Been following this for a bit. Hope I can trade someone for some of these F2’s down the road!
Lol 1500-3000 going by the goji pack lol
Three weeks from sprout date.
Looks to me like ~50% big leaf pheno’s.
#7 is a narrow-leaf that has my interest (back row, second from left)
#2 is slowly working on that first set of true leaves
Thinking they got another week to next up-pot and two more weeks to flip.
Looking good! Have you considered maybe moving that runt in the front row to the center of one of those trays? Just so it gets more light and doesn’t get shaded by that big one right next to it? Just a thought.
Saw that too. I laughed so hard my wife asked what happened.
Yea, lol, that spot was just so they could get into the photo shoot.
I’ve almost axed em a couple times, but then I noticed it growing ever so slowly.……
@minitiger votes for more light, anyone else want to vote on the #2’s fate??
I’m with @minitiger , maybe get her a booster seat.
I vote, a highchair right in the middle, show some love and she may surprise all!
I vote to give her some more light too, never know what can happen.
Maybe I should try that with my unhappy runt - Its stuck in the corner ha
if it isn’t try warming the roots. my runt started growing again as soon as i put back on the seedling mat. happenstance? probably. did it make me feel better? yes.
Welp its been 3 days since I transplanted the seedlings into their beer cups and only 3 popped up through. =(
So I think my fear about burying them too deep was in fact true! Doh! I went ahead and did some emergency excavating and cleared out some excess coco in each cup. In most cases I was able to find the embryo. Some were upside down so I turned them right side up. Most of them are now much closer to the top, but I have no idea how many are going to survive getting jostled around so much. We will see and I will think positively and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised in the next couple of days.
Photobombed!!!
Cleaned out tent from last grow with vinegar and warm water. Finally gave the goji babies a much needed repot. Now they have a 4x4 tent to themselves. This will be their permanent home.
Give em a cpl days they’ll be trucking along!
Looking good
everything is looking good across the board here! @catapult ill jump in and throw another vote for putting that runt on a booster seat in the center of the light. @The_Lazy_Hippie i hope that excavation project works out and you start seeing more green above brown my friend!
