wow @The_Lazy_Hippie those are some healthy looking plants! especially considering their size relative to those beer cups they’re in! so cool.

Thanks man. I figured since its a decent amount of Goji’s that some people might be interested in seeing the different pheno’s. I am pretty terrible at spotting differences myself beyond the basic ‘this one is tall and this one is squat’ or 'this one has sativa leaning leaves and this one has indica leaves" etc etc. But for those that have a better eye can enjoy the pics.

Yep will hopefully have some clones of each plant so I can do a selection once the seed making round is over with.

I am half tempted to see if I can flowerr these out in those solo cups lol. But I do have some 2 gallon fabric pots for these to go into. I am slacking big time on getting their flood and drain table setup so they have stayed in those cups longer then I would have liked. They don’t seem to be minding too much so thats good.

Thank you sir and I agree about them getting big in those cups. Jacks321 keeping them healthy. I like it so far.

I got little cotton ball sized buds on my girls now and introduced them to the males last night. So much pollen everywhere in there I’m thinking they probably are already pollinated lol.

Some of the males are starting to get a little floppy. Not a great pic but so much pollen floating around I don’t want to get in there unless I have to

Yeah they look fine to me. You might get away with leaving some of the males in the solos, but you’d have to sex them of course. That’s a lot of cloning ahead of you… hope all goes well. Good luck!

Damn those are yyuuge. Have you already collected spare pollen from them? You may be able to give them the chop as soon as you’re seeing signs of pollination. I’d be sneezing like crazy with all the pollen floating around, haha

They grew like crazy! Going to collect some pollen before i chop them in a few days. Already seeing (I think) signs of pollination.

these are mine at day 8 of flip.

A1

A2

these girls have moved from chocolate to coffee smells, which is not surprising.
i have just under a foot of space for them to grow into so i’m going to supercrop the branches to slow the stretch.
danger
i found one node on A1 that had male preflowers on both sides of the branch, but on one side pistils grew out and the other side I picked off. to me, this is not a deal breaker.
i am going over them at least once a day to look for male parts and haven’t found anymore.

Not a blemish on those plants, they look about as happy as a plant can get to me!

Love the shot of the mulched bed, everything looks very healthy. About 5-8 years ago I was using par-boiled rice hulls as a mulch for vegetables and herb(s) but decided I liked how worm populations seemed to be higher in straw mulched pots/beds. Your pictures are definitely making me consider going back to it though.

I know that a large nursery (Willoway) has been using rice hulls as a mulch for a long time and was one of the only big companies I saw doing it at the time. Their primary concern was using it for weed control, but still pretty interesting stuff. They also cite reduction in fungus gnats due to rice hulls not holding much water, which would give it a definite advantage over straw. It’s definitely less work applying the mulch too…

May be interesting reads for anyone else interested in rice hulls as a mulch :

rice hulls and the Q powder (a surfactant) have ended all my fungus gnat worries.
i had been putting off getting rice hulls because i couldn’t find them locally anywhere, except the homebrew store for $2/lb. i ended up driving near 2 hours one way to pick them up since a 50lb bag cost triple to ship it to me.

I got a 50 lb bag three years ago and it is only 1/2 gone. I did pay ~$100.
That maybe why I haven’t had that problem.

Hey All, more details on my personal thread but here are some standouts so far!

Getting some really nice smells. Mostly a sweet lemongrass smell, sweet notes with this fresh rubber, super glue, fresh shoes out of a box kind of smell on the back end. Maybe a bit earthy, chocolatey and smells of like green coffee beans… like non ripe coffee beans. I’m not the best at this stuff but I’m trying to narrow it down.

Here’s some pics!

It’s been super cold so I’ve had some temp dips but not showing any more signs of stress at all. Maintaining the 12 light cycle and everything seems to be moving along nicely.

My girls are pollinated for sure! Males e1 and e3 stuck out to me the most. e1 was the biggest male of all of them lots of vigor. e3 was a little bit more squat but had very dense clusters of pollen pods.

Ive got a bit of cleaning to do now lol.

Haha took me awhile with figure out that comic and second pic… you’re literally scraping the pollen off! What a massacre!!
