Oh, for sure, dude. Sticky traps are essential. I just assume that anybody who’s having fungus gnats problems is already using them.

I’m jealous of folks who can do a real scrog. I don’t have a space set up to veg into a net, and so many weird things happen in the garden, I have to be able to turn the girls regularly

the sticky traps always end up stuck in my hair, i hate those things more than i hate gnats. i use about 1/4 pound of gnatrol every grow, that’s $25 i’m ok with throwing in my water for complete gnat death, but this time i used benificial hypoaspis miles too, those fuckers reproduce and are thriving in there

I always add some sticky traps every grow, whether or not I have a gnat issue, but I know what you mean. They’re really, uh, sticky haha. Hate it when the leaves get stuck to them. Still, I feel like they’re the best indicator of whether or not I have a gnat issue. The gnats are gonna get stuck on the traps before they get so bad that you notice them flying around when you water and shit. Once I see a few stuck on the traps, that’s when I know it’s time to bust out the Gnatrol. And for real, watering with it repeatedly really could maybe throw your microbe population all out of whack. I don’t know that for certain, never researched it or anything, but it makes sense to me.

Dude I feel your pain, I just put 19 sticky traps in my tent the other day, 3 times I had my hair stuck to one hahaa.

Here’s a look at one of my Gasoline Dreams (Soul Mate x Strawberry Diesel) which was12/12 from seed.
I pollinated this one with a male of the same genetics, so I’ll have some f2s to grow out and look for hopefully some Strawberry phenos.
Nice to see some purplish hues on it, think this has about another week to go.

I suck with smells and tastes, but this one has a nice piney, maybe even turpentiny, scent with a sort of muted sweet forest smell. Right on the edge of being eye-burning acrid. Really pleasant.
Taste in a vape is a smooth, kind of a sweet pine, not as sharp as it smells. Again, really pleasant.
The effect comes on a bit slowly, but then, it’s there! Behind the eyes thing, but way behind. No pressure. Goes from mellow, to mellower, to mellowist! This is my kind of smoke.
I like it much more than the Goji OG grew out. It was easy to grow, too, not a special needs child, just give her some grub, and let her go.
She seemed heavy when I chopped her, but the buds were kind of light and airy when I cleaned her up a couple of weeks later. I don’t mind that, actually welcome it, because I can have mold problems. Not a problem with her!
You did a a good job with these.

I’ve just recovered from Covid a week or so ago, and I lost my taste and smell because if it, its slowly coming back, but I still can’t smell my plants, which is absolutely terrible timing with them being 4-5weeks into flower, this is usually my favourite part of the process 
.
That’s the kind of effect I’m looking for! I remember the Soul Mate mothers being similar in effect, a very laid back kinda smoke, bit couch locky but not like you couldn’t get up if you wanted to lol.

I’ve got a journal over on TrollitUp with the full details and pics/descriptions of the parents, linked near the top of this thread…
I had x2 males that were different, one more of goji pheno, and one wookie pheno.
I also had some differing phenos in the females, again mostly goji leaning and then some that were closer to wookie.
(These descriptions of the phenos were based on leaf type, height, internode space, bud formation and aroma during flower.)
Basically what I did was hit the all of the females with the 2 males separately, so each female had a branch dedicated to each male.
The beans that I sent out would have been from the Goji pheno male x the Wookie pheno female.
Same as the ones I’m growing out now.

that’s fucking awesome dude. thanks again. @HorseBadorites description of the smells makes it very tempting, i know i said i wasn’t going to pop 'em soon but i’m starting to think about my next pheno hunt cause its coming up, i lost stellar plants and kept not-so-stellar plants in my last hunt. i’m thinking right now about how i’m going to keep existing clones, pop a bunch of seeds as i’m finishing flower, sex then transplant them, but i wana keep the plants as small as possible (to hunt more) last time in 1gals i had huuuuge fuckers with 12/12 from seeds, i see people hunting in solo cups, i don’t see that possible at all, anyways i’m saying all this to ask you what the smoke like on the wookie pheno mom in the cross? do you have pictures of the cured buds? the plants looks beautiful, and i might want to pop 'em soon

Unfortunately I don’t have any dried nug shots, there may be some on an old laptop, if I ever fire that up I’ll have a check through it.

This last pic is the image used on seedfinder for this variety too, along with my description that I did for it when I first grew it!
I know ow what you mean about the solo cup pheno hunts, I think in theory it sounds great, but I’d imagine you’d have to grow a bunch on 12/12 and find a winner…then grow out more and look for that same pheno again(?)
I just can’t imagine a plant revegging very well after growing and flowering in a solo cup.
If I do take cuts I usually pick a plant or two and try to keep 2 cuts of it. I’ve done that with my #2 Soul Mate f2 this round.
So I’ll be keeping that around for a little while, to hopefully make some S1s, provided the smoke on it is good.

last time i did it, even if they are in 12/12 from seeds there is for sure plenty of branches to take clones, a few were really small, but they all rooted eventually, but some plants got huge… all i can think of doing it putting the plants that are getting bigger faster, in a colder room with less light for a week and put 'em back in the flower room with the other ones when they are the same size, that’s if you don’t care to see the real plant structure, i hope i explained that right but it’s a theory, a good one haha i might try it

yo dude i looked and found pictures of the 82 (maybe 86?) seeds pheno hunt i did in 1gal on 12/12… i took 2 clones per female plant, my flower space is 5x15ish (a couple are in 3gals)
i had all of the copies in the clone tent
i ended up killing good clones and keeping meh ones, standouts were 2 old souls, chem d x appolo and the garlic bread freebie i’m regrowing but i don’t see the tag, maybe that’s not exactly what i planted after all
