It’s my first day lol

Welcome to OG.

You know I don’t meet many people that admit to using Miracle Grow. Is it the soil or the blue ferts with a scoop lol. I’ve never had any problems using miracle grow. When I started out growing that’s what I used too but I have never run their enriched soil.

Your plants look good so far are they going to be bloomed indoors or outs?

I have some miracle grow ā€˜Organic’ and it’s npk ratio is 7.7.7. It’s in the form of little beads/balls that you can dissolve or crush 1st and stick em in water :droplet:, it’s actually a decent nutrient and i have used it ( once or twice.) and i have a friend who uses it all the time, it’s ok and does the job .!!
Tho I wouldn’t use the regular Miracle Grow - too hot at 20.20.20. Npk lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.!!!
Happy growing …

I know man but someone told me a long time ago that despite what the slick marketing tries to convince you, all nutrients are the same shit, and that a good grower can grow with anything. I’m kind of like a new age guerilla grower. My motto is ā€œGrow by Any Means Necessary.ā€ So what I’m doing now is growing out a few mothers and building up my indoor grow room piece by piece. So while I want my plants to be healthy, I’m not too concerned about the soil yet. I’m not using Miracle Grow fertilizer though, I’m using their Organic Performance blend, which is aight for a base In a blend. Yesterday I mixed it with a bag of Ocean Forest and transplanted my two biggest into 7 gallons smart pots. So far the girls seem to like the soil. The one downside to the MG Performance is s obvious lack of perlite for our chosen crop, but that’s easily fixed.

I’m not a complete cheap-ass though. Yesterday I bought a 600w Quantum that I’ll be running a MH out of. I taped up some black plastic in a spare room that the girls are going to go into. I’ll keep posting pics here of the build and grow.
The strains are Space Cake and Lavender Jones that o got from dispensary bag seed. Thanks everyone.

Nothing wrong with Miracle Grow per se. It’ll grow fine plants in soil. It’s not ā€œtoo hotā€ you just use less of it.

It’s not a complete nutrient, however. It is missing a few things like mag, cal, and sulfur. It is also mostly urea based N, again, more appropriate for outdoor soil, and the ratios are a little off for flowering, but it contains exactly what it says it does.

Uncle Ben on the old forums used to grow huge plants with it. Yours look nice too.

I’m not actually using MG fertilizer, Im using MG Performance as my base soil. I’m using Alaska 5-1-1 fish emulsion and now Fox Farm Grow Big at the moment.
Although I’ll probably switch to organic ferts since the fox farm won’t work with my Great White… Right?

I moved them indoors last night under 600w MH.
Pics coming.

Btw, the space Cake has been a pleasure to grow, although the only reason I have a seed is from the Hermie potential of the GSC influence.

It’s funny you mention Uncle Ben ā€œUBā€.
When I was a hot shot moderator at rollitup in the newbs room, he and I would constantly go at it. And why not? I had all of 1 grow under my belt. Who was he to question me???

Lol oh God. If I could do things over again…

There’s back and forth debate about available phosphorous levels and mycorrhizae.

However you want to look at it, you’ll get better, bigger flowers providing the phosphorous your plant needs yourself than than trying to rely on fungal action to provide it. Heck, use both, it won’t hurt anything.

I had fine results using the Fox Farm line, fish emulsion, and potting soil. My first indoor crop, a long time ago.
