It really showed up quickly, like 36 hrs or less after transplant.
Ok so update a cpl things, the veggers I burned are showing better leaf colour and no more chlorosis, since flushing them. Run-off on a couple of these are in the 250 ppm range still so I flushed 3 of them last night. Got figures in low 200ās 10 minutes after, so should be good. Having said that, I havenāt checked run-off in the bloom cycle likeā¦ever. I donāt really flush anything in bloom, and use plain water from start to finish, almost always. I occasionally will do some top dressing, but not often. So I really have no idea what I might get from ppm levels thereā¦ I believe in KISS so, if it aināt broke, donāt fix it. Outside of my āno patienceā approach, this time, with my waterlogged stored soil, I use the same soil and process for every run, and I may check run-off with a harvested plant, just to compare. The newly added additions to the bloom room (pebble pusher and Bodega bubblegum) are starting to show sex, and I culled a male and took its clones out of the cloner. I cut-up the clone cubes to check on progress. I previously noted which rooting aid I used (in addition to aloe dip for all) and took a pic of the progress. NOT that this is a stientific control test, BUT, clones are from the same plant, and conditions were identical except the 2 clone aids. Everyone is familiar with Stimroot, I imagine, but the other rooting aid was locally bought at a local herb farm, and is their branding. It is clay based and Iāll get a readable pic of the label up if I can. I have used it in the past, and this is just 1 clone, but well, you can see the difference, there are another few that will get the boot (male) and Iāll check them for comparison. Not looking good for the local, organic? one though.
<img Doesnāt take a rocket stientistā¦src="/uploads/default/original/3X/5/8/58261afbbcf1029ec36962f41e47e78b5d44e045.JPG" width=ā518ā height=ā345ā> The local product (ontario, Canada)
oops there we go. flushed veggers looking light coloured , but growing fast
I would say yes, with no clone for comparisonā¦ but the buds didnāt really swell much in the last cpl weeks, like normal. The damage to the leaves was apparent, but I believe the whole bud surface got a bit crispy and hardened? Buds are solid, but they never bursted with foxtails. Week or so and a test smokeā¦ good trichrome coverage considering and has that fuelly, minty stardog aroma, so weāll see. Iām not expecting much, as long as it doesnāt taste burnt on the first haulā¦lol
New babies Surefire seeds (The greenpool) OD (original dawg)x Titanic is the cultivar that produces the best migraine meds for my partner.I got no problem killing plants, but so many males have been executed through the years, I always wonder the magic we have tossed, before giving them a chanceā¦To the composter!!! LOL
just popped 5 beans that are a cross of stardawg and headbanger ā¦am calling them star banger ā¦ do not know much about the genetics will be interesting to see how they do and if the cross kept the minty trait your talking about ā¦
Iām terrible at describing flavours Most of the diesels and sours Iāve grown have that minty mouthwash background to me It sometimes feels tingly on my tongue or on your lips. The Stardawg (dog)? I have is the Greenpoint male, Corey cut? of topdawg seeds crossed with Lucky Charms. The male flavour comes out in the couple strains Iāve grown. The greenpoint stardawg cross has that āchem funkā as well that I got from the IC91 I have, but a fresher less rotten corpse thing goin on.
very good parents, will be some great smoke there!
LOL!
C-Rex, I think you have gotten hold of some of that legendary Z-Weed!!
Puppies and Kittens brother!
Excellent post, really good info, looking forward to moreā¦
Thanx Gpaw
Thnx a bunch. thought after a few years of learning, Iād try to give? something back to OGersā¦Yāknow other than sarcasm which flows freely from my mouth. Puttin it out there for all to see, I might get pm or Sm or the ādtāsā an go down in flames, but Iāll try and keep regular posts until Mid April anyway (back to work time). Z-weed LMAO, Iām playing zombies on playstation as we speak, a pairing made inā¦hell?..yeah I really am 56ā¦or 18 with 38 yrs experienceā¦my Team Awesome partner and patient is 25ā¦I swear!!! Cheers @Gpaw
We had what we called āstupid Hashā once in the 90ās, good black from overseas somewhere (Afghanistan gold seal?) , weād do a few āBT.sā (bottle tokes) and then proceed to start 4 different brainstorm tasks , Like cleaning pipe, going to fridge, feed the dog, make a sandwich, an turn on some music! 2 minutes later, dirty pipe, still hungry so is the dog no tunes playing. There I isā¦ standing in the bathroom, looking at the empty toilet paper roll behind the toilet, drooling for some reason?? scratching my headā¦realizing I donāt have to pee after all, walk back into the living room, trying to figure out why I got up in the first place, looking at your wife and best friend gazing at the back of their hands and sayingā¦Who the fuck are you? and where my waffles? My wife just smiles and says āpull up your pants, or weāre getting 6 weeks more winter, chuck!ā That kinda hash, but I canāt wait to try some legit Z-WEED! LOL
at least you made it to 18 ā¦i am 63 year old who is still a 10 year old farm girl and the reason i like to garden is so i can play in the dirt and make mud pies ā¦made a huge one today out of coco was -1F here today but my garden made me think i was in the tropics
LOL I love to bask in the heat of the sodium lamp, looking up at the canopy and teleport to tropical destinations. Sure beats the hell out of these 7hrs sunlight on and 17 hrs darkness cycle that is our winter. Then I think about growing in the tropics 12-12 all year sweeetā¦then I think about the tropical bugs that use pyethrins as spiceā¦zoomā¦back to the deep freezeā¦I love my plantsā¦ Just went in the bloom room before lights out, almost like watching the sun come upā¦It warms the cockels of my heartā¦Oh I just have one cockel left at my ageā¦but its warm now lol Have a great Day!!!
Thank you so much for that post, Iām not looking forward to scaling down after I fall down the stairs carrying water, but I think I will transition just as you have. Smaller buckets, on an elevated table, perhaps I should start practicing the SOG grow method. I do have my padawan med patient to help, but, ongoing I will have to embrace newer LIGHTER methods, to keep in touch with this wonderful plant. An increase in the grow allowance would be appropriate, so, I shouldnāt be so bummed about getting old. Always a silver lining!!! Cheers BTW what non-cannabis plant is your usual fave? My wife controls the bay window with assorted (illegally imported) tropicals that she picks up on vacations to Costa Rica. Here we were pulled over in a subdivision in San Jose CR beside 2 flame tree bushes, so my wife could do a drive-by seed collection from our rental!!! All I can do is shrug and laugh as the security car pulls upā¦ Shit her Mom (God rest her soul) would steal cuttings from plant samples in the Toronto Zoo and take them home. I never took them to a botanical garden, wouldda got busted for aiding and a(flower)bedding. LOL
You are quite welcome.
Fortunately, I do not have any stairs to navigate.
For water I use one gallon plastic milk jugs, which are pretty easy for me to carry to and fro.
I mix my fertilizer in them and keep various dilutions at hand.
Well, as for favorite non cannabis plants:
Ornamental foliageāColeus
HerbsāBasil, especially Thai Basil.
VeggiesāPeppers
Flowersātoo many for me to narrow it down to less than a dozen!
ahh yes pepper start time soon, you just gave me a spring is coming rushā¦thnx Milk jugs, excellent Idea, most of our milk is in bags here LOL Sourcing foreign milk containers, yāah thatād be meā¦LOL.
It appears Iām late to the party but Iām here now cool dreadhead banana
