CADMANs Cannabis Thread!

If you hadn’t said DE i’d have asked why everyone was so dehydrated at your bukkake tent event!?

OK, that was better than mine…
 :vulcan_salute:

I envisioned you reaching for the open container and it slipped. You try to do a quick save only to send the container somersaulting with DE spraying out like a Catherine wheel firework…
{bad sativa… bad…}

No worries, you can spritz down the leaves to clean them up.
For me, the trifecta is DE, sticky paper & BTi.
DE is only effective when it’s dry so I try to bottom water as much as possible.
Side note: I found my circulation fan was killing significant numbers of the ‘wee buggers’ if I positioned it optimally…

All I know Is I’m done with fabric pots, never had this issue with anything els I’ve grown in previous. I’m grapping yellow sticky cards to kill the adults and MORE DE if needed on the soil tops. I’ll let the plant bags dry out alot before I water again.

For me, fabric = outside only.
Inside = regular pots, speed pots, or air-pots.

A word of caution about air-pots… If you think fungus gnats are bad with cloth pots, you won’t believe how bad they are with air-pots …
it’s all of the open tips… a fungus gnat hi-rise.

There are tricks that will help out.

Haha yeah pretty much. And here I thought a clean restart would be great. Meh.

Now I gotta restart again. But I’m limping through this one till the end regardless.

#1) Kill the gnats
#2) grow the plants.

Atta boy, never give up. I too am having issues atm and it’s been frustrating as hell to say the least. But I’ve had issues arise over the years that just could not be trouble shot and have scrapped entire runs twice in my appx. Twenty years of cannabis cultivation. But have since learned pretty much anything can be overcome and fixed, especially here at OG with an absolute wealth of information throughout the members. Glad to see you post up the good and the bad .

last time i had fungas gnats i added a quarter mosquito dunk to my water res that i water from, and i just leave it their and replace as it gets destroyed. Leave for at least a month after you dont see anymore and put a bunch of the sticky yellow tags around

Good news & Bad news…

The good is I atleast see 1 BOG Sour Strawberry :strawberry: With actual seeds growing, how many? I don’t know, I’m hopeful for 20 atleast…

I also hit that same plant with BOG Sour Strawberry Male Pollen, it wasn’t alot sadly.

Bad news is, I ain’t got no more BOG pollen left.
Also Gnats are still around, mind you alot less of them, but still being a problem…

Goal update: Pending the amount of actual seeds produced, replacing the seeds sent to me back to the Orginal sources & Re -attempting BOG Sour Strawberry run again.

Sorry to hear that brother. I may have some Sour Strawberry in my BOG stash if needed

gnats = overwatering

These plants grow in the desert.

LITFA until they start wilting.

Then water from the bottom.

Am I really the only one who waters less than once a week? :upside_down_face:

10 L fabric pot inside a container that’s a little bigger, and the same height.

No-till living soil with covercrops. It’s the cover crops that hold a lot of moisture I guess.

You’d think that the more different plants are growing, the more water they’d need, right?

NOPE. It’s the opposite.

Also the moment you deny life to one species, it affects all the others. You’re giving a signal to your soil that it’s not in balance, so it acts like it. Soil doesn’t know problems, only your way of thinking creates problems because the 8 meter wide magnetic field you have around you transfers your thoughts and energy to your environment. So when you freak out about something you are instantly electromagnetically communicating it to everyone and everything around you without even saying a single word and life will react with imbalance.

You receive what you are, vibrationally. It’s like that with everything in life. For better or for worse.

I’ve been at peace with whatever happens, I’ve given up fighting my soil and it rewards me with balance.

Oh no-till gotcha…so re magnetic field, I should go into the bloom room when I am mildly stressed, to, you know, to shorten bloom time and increase terpene production…lol I would imagine that constantly oscillating lighting magnetic fields are gonna completely overwhelm any positive electrical field effect from our feelings, or does the copper grounding wire with the ion enrichment oscillator add to this effect ?but yeah happy grower, happy plants I suppose, faith works too, I’m told.

Are you using the container lids at all?

The only air getting into the soil is from the tops and or sides between the fabric and plastic containers?

Post a photo or two here plz.

I’ve got a good idea of what your doing, just like some visual reference. I’m sure I’ve done this myself before but not with living soil… I may have to try this method again.

I just dump a liter, maybe two liters of water into the container at a time.

The container also slows down evaporation since there is almost no air movement inside.

PS: not using the lid, no idea where it is.
