CADMANs Cannabis Thread!

For whatever reason a few years ago I had clones fail in every jiffy pellet I used! I switched to rockwool cubes and no more problems :man_shrugging:

I used peat pucks for over a decade then suddenly they weren’t doing the thing anymore… working.

for seed germination is my only intended use

What was your method like in the rockwool? Did you place them in darkness or under direct light?

Exact same as with the Jiffy.

New cut at the tip of the stem, scraped the edges, add hormone gel, place in pre-soaked with filtered water + klonex and then shaken rockwool cube.

This is place under low PPFD led at 24/0, under a dome at 99%RH until they die or throw bones. :+1:

I much prefer rockwool to peat or foam, I’ve tried almost every rooter and method known to man. Rapid rooters with the GH stuff are still the absolute best! Like I didn’t see a cut go past 9 days, many at 7-8 but rockwool does an exceptional job and has a better retention ratio imho. It does usually take 9-10-11 days in rockwool but for 1/3 the price or less and just the ease of rockwool I’ll probably just stick with them indefinitely. It’s crazy to me how 15 years later I’m still finding those little bastards outperform almost anything out there with the right pre soak and conditions.

Same!
I couldn’t figure out if it was a brand issue or what.

Not reliable…

Hey @CADMAN just an update. The Azamax and Botaniguard worked. Not a root aphid in site since the treatment. Soil is still going strong. :slightly_smiling_face:
