Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome

I have a buddy at work who suffers from this. He’d been smoking for well over 40 yrs but all of a sudden, started getting sick when he’d get high and had to stop smoking at lunches, before work etc

He’s also diabetic & requires regular insulin and other medications, so there are “variables” in his case.

But still, smoking for over 40 yrs, taking insulin and necessary meds for about 20 yrs of that, then out of nowhere gets hit with hyeremesis? :man_shrugging:. --and he doesn’t buy from dispos regularly, he has plugs & I’ve even given him some of my homegrown which, basically at this point in his life, smoking ANY weed gets him sick :man_shrugging: he claims edibles do not, or at least not every time, but he doesn’t like edible-highs.

So I kinda break it down to two major variables over the course of time; #1 overall cannabinoid levels are likely HIGHER than they’ve ever been in human history, and #2 as I previously stated there is IMO a major imbalance of the cannabinoids being bred for over & over again which could be exacerbating the hyperemesis in most people :man_shrugging:

If it was an exposure issue, WAY MORE PPL would be getting sick than is being reported IMO also :man_shrugging:

Their concern was like kidney malfunction or some such, its hard to recall as i was often in substantial pain. But they never mentioned tox screen it was just like blood analysis and stuff and scans in giant machine

I’ve had this. If it was dosage I would be sick as a dog right now. My dosage is out of this world and has been for years. I had this in the early 2000’s and it was from the dirty “bc” bud we used to buy from the Asian grows in canada that did it. Once i was able to get clean room grown weed I have never had this problem ever again. The weirdest symptom is that hot water from the shower on your belly makes the pain go away. There is no mistaking it for anything else. It is a very unique symptom. Before I figured out it was the BC bud with sulfur, neem +++ on it I was taking five showers a day. But once I gave up the BC bud it went away.

I’m not sure blood work would pick this up unless they were specifically looking for it.
Hot shot no pest strips won’t show up unless you look for the active ingredient

YouTube’s algorithm brought this to my attention earlier.

It’s definitely worth a watch. I wish they were able to talk more in numbers, but it sounds like they have some research underway.

I wonder, is this just a smoking thing?
Are edibles included in this hyperemesis deal?
Damn, maybe living under a rock, ie; not buying gear for 23 plus years now, maybe was the best health decision we made, shunning dispo gear, making our own edibiles for us, butter, oils.
Hell my stalks/fan leaves, and other landfill rescue items are part of worm bin medium, also.
Farm to bowl, going up the steps.
Some 53 years or so, I’ve been a cannabeing, maybe vitamin D3 is helping, LOL!

It’s related to gut health.

I was told recently by a doctor that they have seen an uptick in chs particularly in edibles users fwiw

Something that no one has mentioned is the intentional poisoning that’s going on,
or has been going on for decades.
From the Spanish Flu to Tuskeegee experiments to very carcinogenic hairspray, Bromide soda drinks, Fluoride tap water, Margarine, Cigs, Paraquat, tainted vaccines, and now today’s Cannabis products.
It get’s exposed, covered up, gas lighted, resurfaces somewhere else, renamed or blamed, etc.
It’s all planned & intentional.
I have very old books about government, real Oligarchies, control and depopulation or NWO.
All I’ll say for now, I don’t want to argue with anyone, we may differ based on what we understand up to this point but
We’re all still getting picked off for profit as planned.

Without sounding like a crazy, I think you are closer than most. It’s the unhealthyness of everybody caused by systemic bullshit diets and daily poisoning by the chemicals used in EVERYTHING

I’ll type up my anecdotal evidence of it later when I’m on my computer, but it’s basically:

“New smoker” who hasn’t smoked in 20 years.
About four months into smoking and he gets food poisoning (what the fuck else would it be right?). Craziest shit ever. Throws up literally 60x in 12 hours, lays on the floor freezing but sweating more than anything you’ve ever seen. Feel like he’s dying and the only thing helps is laying in the tub with hot water running. Can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t drink (throwing up started 3am).

Holy shit. Food poisoning sucks, but it’s over and fine with thanks God.

Month and a half later, exact same thing… FML, it might not have been food poisoning. Exactly the same. Other than SEVERE dehydration, after the bout, completely fine.

Third time. Vacation out of the country. Get there, everything is fine. Go to bed, wake up and once again throwing up 1000x, only reprieve being laying in the tub with hot water. Dehydrated to the point my legs didn’t work. Took days to recover and only spent two days “vacationing”. Finally told my family that I think it might be chs since you know, third time’s a charm…

Fourth time same thing.

Never went to the doctor and diagnosed by Dr Research.
Facts:

  1. Never done a dab
  2. Edibles don’t do anything to me so I didn’t take them
  3. Only smoked distro weed once.
  4. Only smoked weed I grew other than
  5. Smoke all day every day, like hit a bowl a couple times often or a bong hit here or there. ~2-3g a day.
  6. None of the pesticides talked about in this thread were used except neem on one grow but not oil. Pellets soaked and watered in to kill gnats early into grow.

Hmmm… Wasn’t going to type all that out but got on a roll.

It IS related to gut health, of that I am certain.

Anyways. I’m 100x healthier than I was then, lost almost 70lbs, haven’t had an episode since I think April.

I’ll take any questions anyone might have and can do an actual detailed timeframe instead of off the top of my head later if anyone cares.

Edit: from what I’ve seen, what I suffered is “textbook” chs… If you think it’s something else like cancer or kidney failure or something else terrible, please let me know :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Thank you @ix3u.
One more thing, a challenge if you will.
Get a pair of chicken thighs or a couple breast. Cook them alone in a clean skillet with lid on. They may take 15 minutes, but pour off the liquid into a bowl or pan and let cool.
I’ve made half a dozen videos of the results that I’ve found.
In the worse case there are 3 seperate layers. These are substances INJECTED into the meat, sometimes at the store, but usually during processing.
The upper layer, (dark honey colored layer) is the most bouyant and once it cools, it congeals into a silicone like material.
It holds it’s shape, you can throw it like a frisbee, it sticks, it’s fun for the whole family, it smells of plastic when burned. It is water soluble too.
I’ve dehydrated it into a solid, basically a big booger.
This is what you see them slurping out in heart surgery videos.
The second layer is a trans-fat grease. It’s not natural either, whitish and maintains varying viscocity w temperature. You can feel it in/on any raw meat. It coats your hands like an automotive grease. It’s not water soluble. Some have mentioned it coats your stomach and intestines so you can’t absorb nutrients, more problems later.
I know an old woman who made gravy from that sh!t and outlasted 3 husbands °○°
The third that comes out is normal ole chikin’ fat, I know because I use to raise chickens for 20 years. Again I’m just sharing random thoughts.

this is likely enough to trigger a reaction, especially if your system was stressed and open to the problem. Once exposed it only takes a tiny bit for the body to have a full reaction

One of the reasons I need to go check the actual timeline. That was possibly in my second grow  and I might not of even smoked any of that one… I grew for family for almost a year before I smoked.

This!

Most doctors have no idea about this. Ive known more than a few folks in the medical field, and theyre basically totally ignorant to it. Ive been trying to shout it from the hill tops since friggin 2016, and at first I was called a kook about it. Despite it being the single most common thing that farms fail for in testing. They just do anything they can to not make it public. Especially since the legal grow scene nowadays is known for screwing up everything they touch.

I would be very curious to see if the probiotics in kefir would help repair the gut biome. (I’m taking about homemade kefir, not the crap you buy in a pre-made drink).

My daughter’s FIL has this (first time hearing about it), and he is in terrible health. Cracks a Mountain Dew in the morning, and drinks 'em all day, cigarette smoker, lots of junk food…not much exercise and terrible balance.
His symptoms are the same as everyone seems to describe, and a HOT shower is the only relief. Crazy stuff!

I’ve had CHS “Cannabis hypermesis syndrome” or CVS “Cyclic vomiting syndrome” for around 15 years or so. Id rather call it CVS because im not entirely sure my case is cannabis related other than a couple doctors that related my cannabis use with nonstop vomiting and hot showers. I believe its a combination of gut health and stress, alongside azadirachtin (neem) or possibly another pesticide/nutrient poisoning. Ive noticed episodes for me are usually triggered by food at restaurants or getting dehydrated at work. I usually experience symptons around once a year, start vomiting and cant hold down any food or water for approximately a week. Went to the ER once to hear i was suffering from renal failure from being overly dehydrated. Its honestly the worst and i feel for anyone experiencing severe symptons.
