so true! You are describing my parents. My father nearly just died from a bungled procedure and I can’t even convince my parents to switch to a different cardiologist.
IMO people that grew up during the 40’s and 50’s seem to worship & obey authority figures. You cannot underestimate the impact of the 60’s social revolution. Our parents stand on one side of the divide and us on the other. People their age shuffled their kids off to be raped by the priest every Sunday and never questioned it. I think my parents worship authority because of strict Christian upbringings.

Ain’t that the truth! Demand for something other than brick weed is being driven by tourism first, then the locals are seeing the good stuff from the US. Talk about an unexpected change of circumstances!
I did notice quality going up in Cozumel significantly in the past 4 years alone, but price wasn’t affected too badly. Better stuff than what I get in the US, available at half the price. The dirt is still available really cheap, and the good stuff is only a few guys, but 5 years ago it was all dirt…

Hes probably already set up a huge grow op or fed retail chain and wants to make more money. 25 million is a small investment for him in the estimated billion dollar legal cannabis industry.
It all helps legalize it so thats a positive side to it.
So the gist of it is, grow lots of weed everywhere to stop sand flies spreading disease 
a lie told enough times becomes the truth… decades of brainwashing people is the origin… plus the lobby of a handful of very powerful industries that felt threatened by hemp and cannabis is general…
