I never understand this logic. Mayor Martin Walsh of Boston also used this line of thinking when he opposed legalization.
It goes something like this - “I’m an alcoholic who failed to control my drinking and pill-taking and crashed cars and therefore you’re not allowed to have any weed.”
For the Kennedy’s you just add this piece at the beginning, “My grandfather was a bootlegger who built the family fortune as a gangster in the 20’s and…”

I go to farmstands that sell whole-plant stalks of organic brussels sprouts for $8 in the fall. I envision farms selling branches of untrimmed cannabis for cheap. U-dry U-trim! Right now it’s too hyper-regulated for this but hopefully someday.
