Iāve considered this site my ONLY āhome away from homeā net-wise. I donāt like seeing folks banned, but also I can understand. Rules are rulesā¦period. No one asked anyone to āplease join our siteā. Weāve all came here on our own, Iād simply say if anyone wants to continue coming here, observe the rules, and all is wellā¦
What I just said might not be popular to some, but it needās being said, as a reminder, if nothing else. Iāve been just as guilty as some, and more-so than others. Butā¦I AM trying to keep things like my obvious breaches in mind going forward.

Iāve done some truly weird and dangerous things while asleepā¦
When the wife and me first got together, lol She woke me up one night with a strange gurgling soundā¦ I had her in a headlock and was fixing to break her neck. I was dream/reliving a fight in Namā¦
that was scaryā¦for us both! But my dreams have calmed way down over the years.

Iām not really āinā the hobby, my pops had one, and well, i might still be tweaking it and playing a bit, lol, yeah theres still a lil kid in all of usā¦ but sadly the value of alot of what we had as kids is nothing, unless its to a sentimental buyer. I dont buy or sell the trains, its whatever my pops had from 1979, but the prices for some things are astounding (can buy a CAR instead). Sadly, thats not usually what most of us have lol. I thought of selling off these and realized theres more value in the nostalgia at the moment than dumping em for pennies.
Donāt do it! youāll be stuck with em forever! lol. Growing up mom always got one for pops and one for me. had literally over 20 years, mint in box. Barely get $5-$10 for most, and remember you were paying $12 in the 70ās and upwards of $24 a truck in the late 90sā¦ I STILL have 3 or 4 that go out at every garage sale, and one of these days is just gonna be left for free at the curbā¦
Yah, FB is the āHey! look at ME!ā place, but for the most part I dont follow all that crap, I use it to keep in touch with family, HS / College / Travelling friends mainly, like actually message and communicate, not āfollow their wall, see what was for lunch yesterdayāā¦ It really depends on whoās using it, and howā¦ The model RR forums are strictly a requirement of me trying to grow a businessā¦ and even there I donāt shill stuff, its more for ideas and a finger on the pulse of what people want / are looking for and canāt findā¦ As social media, why the F do I care what you had for lunch every day for the past year, and 250 selfies in the same spot from different angles? nope, boring! but the people I am friends with, I regularly talk withā¦ ya follow?
Iām starting to get cozy here myself, and I agree 100%ā¦ I just want this place to be a chill and welcoming place, where yes, knowledge is shared, categorized, easily found, and where like minded people can relax and get to know each other a bit before jumping in sometimes. Not everybody just wants to post a pic to a public forum asking for help without lurking or even participating in other threads at timesā¦ Some of us have no problem posting 100 pics in the first journal postā¦ Point being, if we relax, step back and smoke a nice fatty, common ground is there the be found and weāll all be happyā¦ I cant say what OG was like a year or two ago as I wasnt an active member, but I can say it has been chill since I started, but recently I am wondering how many of you aint had a good phatty on the back deck latelyā¦

My best friend when staying over at his girlfriendās parents house when he was in his early twenties for a party, thought it would be drunkenly funny to drop a deuce in the cat box before he passed out.
He awoke to a scene he wasnt expecting.
His girlfriend and mother sitting at the kitchen table, waiting for the dad to call from the veterinarianās office where they had rushed the cat on a Sunday morningā¦
Needless to say, they didnāt work out as a couple.
