Chat room (let's chat!) šŸ’¬ (Part 1)

I had to take down 1 of 2 flower tents. Light leaks, holes, broken zippers etc forced its retirement. I have 12 plants in 5th week of veg. 6 for each tent. Now Iā€™ll have 6 in flower and 6 in veg waiting to get into the flower tent. They will probably veg for about 10 weeks. I have to replace that tent ASAP.

I was going to say, ā€œjust take 'em outside and theyā€™ll flower!ā€ and then I realized you were in Texas and that probably wouldnā€™t be a good idea. Sometimes I forget how widely community attitudes vary on cannabis!

you should be able to take plenty of clones off the vegging plants. Unless theyā€™re Autos? Youā€™ll be ok cuz. Replace the tents if you need to, but the longer they veg the bigger and more mature theyā€™ll be. taking time to train them for a bush and giving you better grade flower

People get a little funny sometimes.

Transferring from the soak to the paper towels ~ 22 hrs later, one of the strawberry nuggets and the Skywalker are already showing tails through the seed casing. I can hear them saying, ā€œPut me in, coach!ā€

People were suggesting I reveg the Choco Thai and I gave it some thought but if weā€™re talking a month of light for it to reverse Iā€™ll just roll the dice on one of the other two seeds being a female in the future. Iā€™d be much happier with what Iā€™d have a month from germ than what I would get a month from chop I think.

Plus a big motivator for doing all autos on the next run is to get the taste of this long flowering plant out of my mouth. Iā€™m on week 13 or 14 now I believe and sheā€™s not even trying to be done :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I donā€™t have much space and would consider a reveg only if it was REALLY special.

Yup. I have the oak crate my grandparents used moving to Canada from South Africa via England in the 50ā€™s. I use it ONLY when the project is right.

Reminds me of the description from Mass Medical about their Acapulco Gold that they say they got through bodhi; itā€™s supposed to be 16-24 weeks and they say to just put your clones/germinate your seeds directly into the flower tent. I canā€™t imagine having a plant going through flower for half a year!

Nope, me neither, thatā€™s just too much for me.

I think my upper limit for patience is like 10ish weeks flower.

Iā€™ve just discovered if you continually add new plants to the grow it stays interesting. Multi stages of flowering .

Thatā€™s why I donā€™t grow those long flowering Sativas. Iā€™m afraid they will out live me!

lol I can understand a lot of what you folks are saying. But in a situation like mine, itā€™s all good to let a good sativa go that long, or as long as it takes! Thatā€™s why I undertook the preservation/seed run on the Acapulco Gold from @Cory. Well, lol that and the fact that I really wanted this famous old strain back in my hands!! I figure on this run taking at least 5-6 monthsā€¦

Iā€™m so happy you took that on @JohnnyPotseed . Iā€™m looking forward to sucking it up and letting one of these do their thing for as long as it needs in my quest for Gold!
