I was referring to you lol
Whatās this I see @JohnnyPotseed ? Amethyst, emeralds, (is that lemon quartzite?)
I know. Thatās why it has me laughing.
Hoping Iām laughing with you not at you.
But Iām still laughing. lol
In that tray there are
Rubies
Emeralds
Sapphires Both white and blue
Topaz
Amethyst
diamonds
Chrysoprase
Golden Topaz
Garnet
some are called ānative cutā faceted some are ābrilliant cutā faceted and a few āantique cutā also
Ah. Golden Topaz. I couldnāt see clearly.
Also called āImperial Topazā
editā¦ oh, also I forgot to call off Citrine in the listā¦ I just looked at the tray lol
Iām looking at pics right now. Breathtaking jems.
Iām pretty sure I still have my faceting machine not a fancy high dollar job lol just a hand work one you use a dop stick with
it mounts on table or workbench edge, you set the angle and then approach with the gemstone anchored to the dop stick thereās a rest to set it against so as to get the same angle on all sides you want
You, I think, are a lot like me, in that I think we need to keep the mind stimulated and the hands busy.
helps keep you youngā¦ish lol
Ok guysā¦ lol some of the rest of yas need to be jumping into this conversation!
What?? No more rock hounds out there?!
LOL.
Iām looking for a moonstone ring for my wifeā¦lol.
Thatās about all I can offer up to this conversation.
Were āstonersā
Not all āgem stonersā! Lol
LEts see the bead work too!
dont know much about precious gemstones, all i now is my wife likes blue saphire (my birthstone) more than diamonds (her birthstone) so that works for me lol
lol sorry Iād have to a deep hunt for any of those
also, my dad had a pretty cool ātigers eyeā ring. (i think thats what he said it was called.) never seen a stone like that when i was a kid and thought it was pretty neat
Well, I donāt have any pictures of my art. Iāve been making hemp necklaces since I was a kid, but I can make alot more intricate pieces than you usually see. If I can get a pendant from @JohnnyPotseed for a good price (pm me) Iāll make one and post it.
No worriesā¦ We have some great local beadworkers/artists. My daughter has started to get into this. Love that!
