Chat room (let's chat!) šŸ’¬ (Part 1)

I just started using it this year after reading BOGā€™s book Bonanza of Green. Iā€™ve been following @JohnnyPotseed 's journals and it was brought up there as well.

Considering the level of majesty presented by and the knowledge contained by this wonderful beast of a plant tamer we all know and love as ā€œJPSā€ Iā€™ve started giving my outdoor a dose of 1/4tsp mixed per gallon every week and can see the results.

Only change to my feeding schedule was to not water it for 24 hours after applying the superthrive.

I just posted in Johnnyā€™s thread that the grow shop owner told me itā€™s way more effective as a foliar which surprised me. I might hit my two little seedlings that way and see how they react but all my other stuff is in flower so theyā€™ll get it watered in.

If Dr. Thomsen is the one did the palms for Disney, then yes lol I only know he won first place at the Worldā€™s Fair back in the 40s with it. His name and the Worldā€™s Fair is all i know.

The guy who told me said thatā€™s what he was told and isnā€™t positive but heā€™s heard that story multiple times. I want to believe anyway

Foliar or soil drench makes no difference, I do both actually it does nicely. The foliar with ST is also once a week All other foliar is regular water Phā€™d

btw, when it isnā€™t raing, the humidity ranges from 70 to 72 %, so not that bad. It is in room temperature and due to the rain, it is that high, thankfullyā€¦ no signs of moldā€¦ there is an air breeze moving through, not a fan on them. thanks though!!

You half dose each or alternate method?

so not that good, either cuz! lol No sign of moldā€¦ thatā€™s good too. But the taste and efficacy, smell etc IS a big deal. You might want to research what Iā€™m saying to verify, look into the various grow guides online thereā€™s a ton of em! Youā€™ll see, higher humidity means longer drying and loss of these things to a certain degree. There is an ā€˜optimum timeframeā€™ to help preserve all of those. This is also dependent on how you dry, racks, hanging, basket, tray. But we see you hang em, same as I do.

I alternate, the soil drench one time a week on any certain water day, then the next water day I do the foliar with ST

this damn storm trashed every plant i had in a raised bed, all tilted over all the way to the ground. i put some stakes up so hopefully they recover. on a brighter note i have 4 purple unicorns in 5 gal air pots and they somehow look better than they did prior to the storm.

Thatā€™s air pots outside for ya!

theyā€™re a pain in the ass to water though, they dry out too fast

Yeah Iā€™m gonna get 4x green Air-pots for my 2x4 tent this winter but also am going to get 4x watering rings to prevent eventual heartbreak.

i think the smaller air pots just arenā€™t worth it unless youā€™re on point with watering.

Thatā€™s why Iā€™m only getting the final pots aka #5. Gonna set up each with a 6" rain ring and automate things. I really love the results of the air-pots when on point with wateringā€¦ but there is a reason I primarily RDWC indoors

iā€™m not looking forward to switching to hydro, iā€™ve only grown soil and have zero experience with hydro. soil is just more forgiving. it looks suspicious carrying in bag after bag of fox farms though, even if itā€™s only a few. i suck at checking ppm and adjusting ph and whatnot.

I wasnā€™t suggesting switching. Iā€™m realizing that air pots are the exact opposite to what I usually do

yeah i didnā€™t think you were. itā€™s just the thought that crossed my mind when you mentioned hydro.
