Chat room (let's chat!) šŸ’¬ (Part 1)

Looks like this one is more geared toward heat mats where the 308, same one I use, is for AC / Heater. Sill might be cool for something, time will tell.

I got a couple, but needing more would add up freaking quick. I seriously under estimated what my first plant would produce and need more, but in theoryā€¦ if all nugs put in same jars, in same environment, burped same time, same length, would every jar need a reader? I also, got 58 boveda packs. Iā€™ll be monitoring if they work/align with my meters.

I would personally hold off on the Bovida packs until you need them. I put a reader in almost every jar but thatā€™s me. Itā€™s likely that one jar wonā€™t be the same as the next just due to different size and density buds. Now the few jars I have without just get one swapped in when I burp them since I need so many and ran out on my last harvest. You can always get a few of those little ones and move them from jar to jar as you burp them, as long as you are keeping up with them you will be fine.

I donā€™t burp.

They go into the jars at 58-62 and stay there until Iā€™m ready to open them.

I have bovedas as a back up for if Iā€™ve screwed up but theyā€™re generally not needed.

Ok great. I have been reading plenty donā€™t burp. Maybe I should burp one, not burp one and see if I think it matters.

Really the only reason I ever burp a jar is to get it to the specific 58 to 60 RH Other than that burping is not required. If your buds are around 58 to 60 put them in the jars and seal them up. The best thing you can do is take your time drying them. The longer the better. If it takes one day to dry your weed youā€™re not gonna like it. If it takes 2 weeks to dry it out to 58-60 itā€™s gonna be so smooth you wonā€™t need a cure.
But a cure always enhances imo
:dash::dash: pass it on :sunglasses::v::canada:

Nothing wrong with experimenting to see your own results. I burp after allowing the metabolic process to work, periodically opening my jars to let out the built up carbon dioxide and moisture the buds have shed. But to each their own, whatever works for you is the right way.

I get mine to 65% and just let them sit, Iā€™ll open and sample once or twice a week and eventually it all gets smoked.

I broke out some delicious, 8 month cured herb out to smoke with a buddy I havenā€™t seen in about 5 years. He was like ā€œwhyā€™s your bud brown, man?ā€ So I went and grabbed a fresh jar and had to explain that chlorophyll breaks down over time and the smoke becomes super smooth. After he smoked it he was amazed. Fucking Colorado spoiled him with itā€™s freeze dried bright green dispensary weed.

Mine are accurate to within 1% of each other. I was really quite amazed considering they are dirt cheap.

No donā€™t get me wrong they are great for the price I got mine from Amazon I took the batteries out of all of them and let them sit then put t them back in and a hour later they were all relatively close to each other

How much did the Govee ones run you?

I got a dozen from amazon, and they are within 2-3% of ea other, and the other hygrometers I have hereā€¦ Good enuff for govtā€™ I say!

printed up these nifty tops for the mason jars too! a tiny bit of silicone to seal it to the lid, and the lid is printed in layers. rigid portion is all PLA, but to mimic the sealer ring on the normal jar lids I print a few layers of TPU (super flexible) on top to create a good seal. I know they work because Iā€™ve sealed em up in a room at 58% rh, and kept em upstairs where its 80%rh and they still read 58% two weeks later (empty of course)

I never saw the variegated in weed before, only when it happened and I searched for it. Not common, but theres a few threads on here detailing it. I am praying it doesnt go away after a few sets of leaves, I would LOVE to see purple variegated :slight_smile: think, in every front yard, in every flowerbedā€¦ :smiley: I have big dreams ROFLMAO
