Have a great morning every grower out there
A Lakewood driver almost ran into me this morning in my town. You can imagine how I know for a fact they were from Lakewood. I just see this car getting closer and closer and cross the middle line. Heās got his head bent down completely looking at his phone. I laid on the horn for a minute straight even after he corrected and Iām kind of glad he was in the far left lane and I was turning right because I would have been loud.
Scratched up mini-van, pre-dented?
ps serves ya right for driving around lakewood asking if I should leave the state! Trying to sway the vote by selecting who you askā¦ youāre a @slick1
Yeah the mini van you describe is like the official vehicle in America for many communities on the lower socioeconomic end of things
Brother, sold my 1965 mustang fastback, that I had just did a rotisserie job on. Its how I changed our lives, got enough to pay cash for our place, moves several states away, and literally started over. Now I have what is close to a classic, 2002 SS Camaro with 20 thousand on it, and my daily is a 650rwhp 2010 SS Camaro paid for I have a nice turbo diesel also, but itās used for homestead work. I never have much liked a truck, unless I needed a truckā¦lol
Taxes suck. One of the biggest reasons behind our move. I have it good now, 5000 square feet on 10 acresā¦drum roll pleaseā¦$985 dollars a year. Happy mother fucking dance baby
Hey everyone, I found an old member on strainly and told them about some of the cool things the site has been doing lately. Can we all show @PNWStrainhunter a warm welcome back?
Hi @PNWStrainhunter, welcome back to OG!! Awesome site this one here!!
Have fun!!!
Mines in need of the rotisserie job, but its numbers matching, pretty much all original, factory AC, and rare 3 speed on the tree. Technically 3rd owner, dad was 2nd, original had it for 6 weeks before moving to Colombia and selling to my pops. He planned to take it to colombia, but import / export / transport fees were ridiculous so he sold to my pops. Thats why the factory AC I even have the original paperwork and window stickers.
One dayā¦ Sheāll be restored properlyā¦
No but he had curly fries and the Arbys in town closed years ago
My mother has a 68 Fastback GT that I very much hope to inherit.
Hope you do. Awesome car.
At 38 Iāve driven it one time and got a disapproving look when I hit second a little too enthusiastically lol.
My dad has a 70 Challenger thatās been sitting for years too I might end up with if he doesnāt peel it off. Iād love to have it but I grew up looking at the Mustang and if I had to choose one itās not even close.
I had a 70 Cutlass back in the day. Got layed off and had to sell it.
Oh that hurts to even hear
Bought my first car off my dad at 16.
He was original owner of a 70 charger, 383 with posi.
Every car since has been faster than the last.
Yeah you canāt go minivan after having a rocket for a first car! I started with a lifted truck so I didnāt pop my driving cherry with real speed out of the gate. I miss my 2011 Camaro SS thoughā¦
Im in my 60s and my cars have been getting slower and more practical for quite some time. Even my bike is a cruiser. lol
Yeah, I couldnāt imagine. I have a daughter about that age.
Thereās a Nick Swardson joke (back when he was more interested in being funny than drinking) where he was talking about seniors driving slow. Something like when heās 80 heāll be doing 80 cause heās got less to lose and more living to pack in. He was like this could be a standard conversation-
Hey Nick I heard your grandmother died, Iām so sorry. What happened?
Oh she flipped her Vette, we knew it would happen one of these days
@MoBilly
