Wonder if that is part of de fucha subduction zone. I have heard a big one is due the and could wipe out Seattle and or Portland.

Hey there OGers, just set up an OG laptop raffle, drop by if you have a mind to. Tickets for a chance at this laptop will cost you a $10 donation to OG, buy as many chances as you like. Shipping will be at the winners expense

Thanks for the thoughts Mo, We’re OK. Lot of broken glass, lost some jars from my stash, but i have quite enough to last a very long time. So we’re OK. Like Jerry Garcia once said, we won the war now all we have to do is clean up the mess. :+1:

The big one is the Cascadia subduction which runs parallel to the coast of North CA and Oregon. Subduction is when one half rises or sinks. Those create Tsunami’s. They’re saying the one that hit here is a slip meaning the two sides slip by each other and don’t cause Tsunami’ - usually.ca_plates2 We got the end of either the Blanco or Mendocino fracture zone.

Mines that pastel yellow. Not a fan, but she’s numbers matching survivor, so its gonna be repainted that when its done… Much prefer the more aggressive looking ford racing yellow, or old school yamaha yellow, but nope, pastels were the color of the day!

North Coastal California. A few years back i read that every state in the nation gets earthquakes, but we get a lot of them. Anything above 4.0 - never get used to it. But tornadoes are worse - unless the quake goes over 7. Check the great Alaska Earthquake.
