One of many. Gotta dig some more for the othersā€¦ Hereā€™s Mr. Spoiledā€¦

I donā€™t care for the fashion, its hard enough to find anything that fits him. If it fits, its fashionable enough for him :smiley:

He looks fun. :thinking::joy:

So, do these stripes make me look fat? Horizontal stripes are a Bozo No No! LOL

when heā€™s standing they are verticalā€¦ This pup is far from fat, lolā€¦He does have a deep rib cage thoughā€¦ (makes it tough to find things that fit)

He needs to put back on 2-3 lbs he lost after his surgery / lack of appetite. Iā€™m telling ya, heā€™s as spoiled as they comeā€¦

Thanks @MoBilly .

Sponge was at my side from 8 weeks old when I got him on sale from a breeder downsizing her kennel. He was show dog stock but due to his butt he wasnā€™t up to par. She told me in a frank manner that if he had the ass of his parents sheā€™d be asking for $3500 and would get it.

In a way i feel i rescued him as she drilled me in an interview and accepted my $350. (seriously, he was chattle to her at this point).

That night he slept in an armchair next to my bed because he was so small; additionally he was also weened to early so I slept for a week with my arm out touching him so heā€™d sleep and not just whine through the night. (:sob:). He came with me to work as the video stores mascot and when I went to school my folks looked after him while I was out; and I came to collect him ever day (literally like my kid). Like Superman to Jerry Seinfeld, Sponge was often hidden in plain sight in all my school made films.

When I started looking after the arts center, he came with me and was the ā€œguard & therapy dogā€. I canā€™t tell you how many stressed out artists sat next to him and got their hearts healed by just petting him and telling him their stresses. He just sat there and fell asleep as they petted him.

After age 15 he had bladder control issues so there were always pads around; and by 16 the doggie blindness started up but he still ate, drank, played (albeit slowly) and loved. Afterwards he was more of a cuddly-meat sack rather than dog.

His doggie dementia started at 17 and some nights iā€™d wake up with him as he walked in circles looking for water or to pee. Iā€™d bring him his water bowl and by this point the floor was just a jigsaw of pee pads with them replaced as he did his thing.

My partner fell in love with him when she met him in his elder years and gave him so much love and attention that iā€™m sure that this is why he stuck around for so long in the end.

100% will do it all over again. :dog: :hotdog: :heart:

Winston can use his back legs enough to walk in a very drunken manner. When my Granddaughter asked me to take him and try to rehab him he had no use of his back legs. I did hydro therapy, massages to remind him the legs were there, and extremely low intensity tens unit to force the muscles to contract and relax. He gets around pretty fair but I have to command him to ā€œwalkā€.
Yeah, the pee is a pain but I pulled every carpet in the house and put pads, like you, all over the floor in the rooms he normally stays in.
Heā€™s a young dog. Hopefully we wonā€™t be able to lay carpet for many years.
