When storing seeds in the freezer do you guys keep them in breeder packs (opened or unopened) or take them out and store them in special containers?

Iā€™ve been running 365-370 but I try to get every last bit of goody by jacking it up for one last hit at 375

I could try the whole process 5 degrees lower I suppose.

I would like to know this as well.

Editā€¦suggestions for storage thingie to buy perhaps from Amazon would be appreciatedā€¦right now Iā€™m using a cardboard Gucci box with some silica packets

Not if you use a bolt action rifle and subsonic rounds

Seriously, that combo is very quietā€¦

I store mine in the packaging they come in no need to repackage . I do put them in a air tight container stored in the freezer.
So far no noticeable degradation in getting 6/8 year old seeds to sprout.

Poor germination of some just means they were poor to start with not necessarily my freezer storage method .

Iā€™m just using crock pot recipe, little over 10 grams, about 2 sticks butter, 2 cups water per stick. strain, put in butter thingie until hard. Then Ill melt 4 cups chocolate and about half cup of cannabutter and fill up chocolate molds.

What do you think each piece of chocolate equals? 10 grams of weed to 2 sticks of butter doesnā€™t souls like very much!

the one issue I saw noted that freezer storage is subject to power failures/defrosting issues. If these do not occur definitely the best way to go. But to be absolutely sure of storage you would need power backup for your freezer.

Refridgerated is what most suggest for seed storage. Frankly as long as they are kept cool, they should last for centuries in say a humidor.

I germinated 12 year old seeds from an altoids tin but they were always in an AC environment. As soon as I had no AC and had heat and humidity swings the rest of them went unviable and never would germinate.

LOL, 50 next month

I threw in quite a bit more but Iā€™m toning this one wayyy down. Last batch I ate a tiny slice of butter and miserably tripped all day :joy: dosing down to small chocolates to better measure.

Not too often the powers out long enough to melt the frozen items in the freezer . Iā€™d be more worried in the fridge if the power goes out temps gonna climb a lot quicker in it.
Either way cool or cold is by far better than a shoe box under the bed or in a box in your closet.

Iā€™ve found 60 mg per piece is a nice dose maybe a bit strong for the casual smoker.
Nothing worst than oding your friends that have low tolerance levels and for the daily users eat 2 .

Do you decarb the weed before starting?
Iā€™m not much on edibles but my other half would probably love the chocolates.

I have a similar dead tree in my front yard, we have a big pilated woodpecker that attacks it every year. Last year, he stripped a meter long section about 7 inches deep, just under halfway through the tree, only took him about 40 minutes, I thought he was going to chop the tree in half, the way he was firing huge 6 inch chips across the garden, it looked more like a bear had attacked the tree lol.

Yeah they love clay, its the perfect enviroment for them, same as we have here. I have noticed our back yard this year had a lot less than last year, but now they are coming up all over the drive as thatā€™s packed down gravel.

Put lots of lime down and they will start to dissappear.

your right itā€™s more often a defroster hangs or you place it too close to the defrost element that screws things up. Neither of which happens in a fridge.

A freezer with no defrost is a superior option to a regularly defrosted freezer
